Hotel ist neu und sehr zentral gewesen. Dementsprechend sehr sauber. Viele Mitarbeiter sind sehr hilfsbereit. Pool Größe ist in Ordnung, aber nicht so groß. Zu unserem Pech hatte Dachterasse eine Woche lang ein Problem und man konnte nicht hoch. Das war nicht so toll. Es gibt nicht so viel Auswahl für Vegetarier beim Frühstück. Im a la Carte Prinzip. Zimmer ohne Balkon nicht zu empfehlen im Sommer. Im Hotel ist noch eine Boulangerie, wo man für den Kleinen Hunger immer etwas bekommt. Der Mitarbeiter dort ist super nett gewesen und hatte viele Tipps für uns. Viele Restaurants sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Strände in der Nähe sind etwas überfüllt und klein. Im Umkreis gibt es schönere. Vor Ort haben wir ein Auto ohne Probleme gemietet. Und ein Taxi hat das Hotel für uns organisiert.

Beautiful hotel, centrally located and very comfortabky appointed. The rooms had all the amenities one needs. I especially appreciated the clothes steamer in the closet, a variety of outlets on both sides of the bed, confortable bed, The staff were welcoming and helpful and breakfast delicious.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Amirandes Hotel and would highly recommend it. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our bungalow room was lovely. We especially enjoyed being able to walk straight out and look at the sea. The main pool is huge, with plenty of space to relax, and there are lots of activities available throughout the week. We particularly loved the padel, olive oil tasting and pottery making. I also had the signature massage, which was a full-body treatment. I love a massage, and this was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The poolside team were always so smiley and attentive, regularly bringing us drinks and making us feel very well looked after. The cleaners were equally friendly, and our room was immaculate every day. We ate at the buffet most evenings, but we also visited Blue Monkey. If you are staying on a half-board basis, they offer a €20-per-person credit against the bill, which was a lovely bonus. The food there was delicious. The buffet staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and we especially loved the pancake lady! The morning team were also fantastic, taking our coffee orders as soon as we sat down. Every member of staff helped make our stay so enjoyable. We would highly recommend Amirandes Hotel and would love to return.

Very nice beach centric boutique hotel with extremely helpful staff

Wonderful welcome from wonderful staff. Nothing feels like too much trouble. The standard room was basic but was perfectly sufficient for our needs and cleaned every day. The hotel has a boutique style with 2 nice outdoor pools and one indoor, next to the small but sufficiently equipped gym. Unfortunately we did not have time to try out the spa treatments but the staff were also very nice in there. We were half-board and found the food to be excellent - lots of choice, very fresh and again, wonderful staff. I travelled with my teenage daughter and we were glad to see a variety of different people and age groups at the hotel, couples, groups and families. The location is also very good. It is in a quiet area within walking distance (20 mins) of the beach, some shops, tavernas and bars. There are bus stops close by to take you to busier areas such as Heraklion and Hersonissos, which we used frequently. The hotel also facilitates car rental (for the brave) as well as airport transfers, which we used on arrival and were very happy with. The one and only criticism is reserving sunbeds with towels. The hotel states that they do not allow it but it happened daily and no one acted upon it. It meant that we spent very little of our time in the hotel using their facilities. I think if you have a policy, you should stick to it. It was very frustrating to see reserved beds left for many hours unoccupied.

The staff was amazing. They were very helpful and made our stay there easy and enjoyable. The pool area was very nice and the whole place was very clean.

I choose this property despite the negative reviews, believing they were one offs and in light of the other recent positive reviews. Unfortunately, this was a situation where you need to believe what you read and not discount them. I booked the “comfy room” on Expedia and when we first checked in, we were assigned a room across the street from reception. Thought this was unusual, but went along with it. When we arrived in the room, I immediately noticed that it did not match what I had booked. It was a very old dated room and frankly felt like a 2 star hotel. I would later figure out that this is their lower “3 star” sister property, which is not what I had booked. When I brought this to the attention of concierge, they agreed to look into it and a few minutes later, informed me that they had made a mistake and that my room will be changed to one in the “boutique” hotel. I was appreciative of them owning the mistake and making the change, but it still left me feeling distrusting. I was then told I needed to pay more for the city tax (sister property is less), to which I agreed as it was consistent with my expectation. When we turned away to go to the room, I was called back when they realized I had mistakenly paid them one less euro. Of course I turned back and paid them the extra euro, but felt it was a bit ironic considering they were about to cheat me out of much more than just a euro. This left me feeling even more bitter and frustrated with the experience. Be on th
