Lack of communication /coordination between reception /managment staff and House keeping regarding check out . House keeper came nocking on room door and ringing doorbell early morning asking if she can make up the room!!!

I stayed twice at The Swissotel Bosphorus in a month and both times it felt like it used to be a 5-star hotel but not anymore. 1. We had to chase concierge for literally everything: cleaners don’t refill bathroom vanity sets, we had to ask for new towels every day, tea and coffee bags were not refilled daily unless we chase, it was tiring. At one point housekeeper said “no English” and walked away. 2. This hotel has 4 restaurants and at night the noise from their parties is shocking! They have “events” every night and you don’t just hear the music - it’s so loud you feel like you’re next to a night club. 3. At breakfast table there are no tea spoons unless you ask staff - and no surprise they often forgot to bring it. 4. During my first visit I stayed on ground floor room by the pool with my children where we were surrounded by smokers from every neighbour! The room keeps the cigarette odour 24/7. Also cockroaches and cats often enter room with no hesitation. 5. During my second visit I tried to make tea in my room when water from the kettle leaked everywhere. No apology from staff. 6. The location of the hotel is not great. On a map it looks like it’s right at the heart of Bosporus but in reality there is no direct path to it. To get to Dolmabahce Palace or port it takes 15min walk along concrete tunnel on a tiny and unsafe pavement. Overall we had good time but this hotel has to be reviewed again for its stars or the prices for accommodation have to go down.

Very disappointed with my stay. I called multiple times for assistance, but nobody came. I also had a visitor for only 30 minutes, and I was unexpectedly charged for the visitor. This was not clearly explained in advance and felt unfair. The service was poor, and staff were not responsive when I needed help. I would not stay here again.
