"Super location - great staff"
Granted I have to agree with many reviews that the the hotel is somewhat tired - but it is safe, clean and the staff are extraordinary, after the 2nd day I didn't consult the menu when dining at the hotel's sidewalk cafe but requested they "feed me and surprise me" they did and the meals were wonderful. I would definitely return to this hotel as well as recommend it - the location is PERFECT, on the Hippodrome and across the street the from the Blue Mosque.

"Good location, Beautiful interior & Friendly staff"
Overall, my stay with the hotel is extremely pleasing. When we first walked into the hotel, we were super amazed by old European-style interior. We were welcomed by the friendly receptionist and served with warm cup of Turkish black tea. Pros: Location is super good! The tram station is within walking distance and the Grand Bazaar is not more than five min walk. Breakfast at the roof-top terrace is an extremely pleasant experience. Turkish food served in a buffet style and you could get a nice view over the old city of Istanbul. More importantly, roof-top access is twenty-four hour and you could enjoy some drinks accompanied by the beautiful night scenic of the city. We were staying at the junior suites with Turkish bath and what you see in the photos are really what you are getting. Clean and beautiful interior. Turkish bath is new to us but we could figure out how to heat up the facilities ourselves. If you are unsure, you could always approach their staff. Cons: Overall, we have nothing to complain about our stay. If there is any, we think that the hotel should include complimentary bottled water.

"Amazing stay"
This is going to sound like I'm being paid to write this but I assure you I'm the one who paid. The hotel is a 4 minute walk to the Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque & a 5 minute walk to the tram. Every employee there gets a 10/10 for helpfulness, politeness, & on being accommodating. They helped me book tours, called taxis for me & gave me tips on how to navigate the city - who to speak to, who to stay away from, how much I should expect to pay for certain goods & services so I don't get jipped. I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel, their location & most importantly the staff. Not only will you not regret staying here, like me, you'll leave saying they made your trip even better than expected.

"Beautiful hotel near restaurants and history"
I made this reservation last-minute to occupy a long layover in Istanbul. The hotel staff were extremely helpful from the beginning of my experience with them, arranging excellent car service to and from the airport. On arrival at the hotel, I was met by a kind fellow (Ufuk, I believe) who gave me excellent information and direction about the area, restaurants, and things to do. He also arranged transportation for me to have dinner at a nearby restaurant. The room was large, clean and comfortable, with all of the amenities I could need. There was a ground floor bar with excellent choices and a kind, engaging bartender. The rooftop terrace was a lovely place to relax and provided excellent views of Sea of Marmara and the top of the Blue Mosque. The hotel was easy walking distance to a number of nearby restaurants, shopping, and the Sultanahmet Park area, and slightly further from the Grand Bazaar. The included breakfast was much more than expected, with a wide variety of hot and cold choices.

Istanbul is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Istanbul, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Istanbul hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.

While many of the most visited sightseeing attractions reside on the European side of Istanbul, including the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya, and Topkapi Palace, the more residential Asian (or Anatolian) side also has its own unique charms. Be sure to explore the beauty of both sides to make your trip to Istanbul complete.

From the Blue Mosque to the Grand Bazaar

One of Istanbul's nicknames is the 'the city on seven hills.' Like Rome, the Istanbul of antiquity was built on seven hills, each with religious monuments, in both the Byzantine and Ottoman periods.

Today you will still find many stunning sights on these hills. Topkapi Palace was the former royal residence of the Ottoman sultans. Set by the sea and overlooking the Golden Horn, today's Topkapi Palace is open to the public as a museum, with four primary courtyards and a wealth of treasures. Wander through leafy gardens and airy libraries, an imperial harem, and impressive gilded pavilions.

Head for another hill and the Grand Bazaar awaits you. One of the largest covered markets in the world, featuring more than 6,000 stalls, the Grand Bazaar is a mecca for shoppers. Jewelry, spices, carpets, and pottery combine to create a seemingly endless range of tempting items. Test your bargaining skills or just enjoy a stroll around the structure itself, which seems almost like a palace.

Side by side are two other must-see Istanbul sights. The beautiful mosaics and massive dome of the 1400-year old Aya Sofya leave visitors mesmerized. Equally extravagant is the working Blue Mosque whose six slender minarets are one of the most famous components of Istanbul's skyline.

    Illuminated Istanbul

Istanbul is one of the oldest cities in the world and with such a long and rich legacy it would be easy to tour only the city's historical wonders. However, present-day Istanbul is one of the most vibrant, sophisticated, and cosmopolitan places on earth and no visit would be complete without experiencing what the modern city has to offer. An evening out could include cuisine from all corners of the world (though be sure to try the sumptuous mezzes and kebabs), cocktails at an elegant bar on the Bosphorus, and clubbing until dawn. Istanbul at night is a beautiful sight.

Take some time for leisure, too, like a traditional Turkish bath or a cruise down the Bosphorus Strait. One visit to Istanbul could never suffice and how could it? There are two continents to explore! So slow down and sip some fragrant mint tea, while you plan your return visit. Hide
