"jewel on top of the hill"
Arcos is a hill town. Parador is on top of the hill. Probably enough said? With terraces, lounge with large viewing windows, and rooms with decks, it is hard not to have spectacular view. In fact, even our rest room has a view worthy of a post card. And it is right in the center of the old town, the most interesting part of Arcos

"Amazing views and worth the trip!"
The location may seem out of the way but the village of Arcos de La Frontera is worth the trip and La Casa De Bovedas was incredible. The rooms were decorated beautifully, had amazing views from the rooms, the terraces, and the breakfast areas. A short walk around and you can see everything in Arcos and have a wonderful dinner! The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was perfect. To sit and drink our fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee with views and no rush I could not ask for a better vacation spot. Even the shower was exceptional and had a window with views. Loved it!

"Out of town but handy to transport"
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice room with good internet. Bus stop just across the road. 20 minutes to town out of peak hour, 45 minutes to 60 minutes in. Peak hour. Saves driving in crazy traffic and definitely worth it. Parking in hotel grounds free.

"Don't drive there"
I didn't drive to Arcos: I'd been warned about the town. I arrived by taxi- driving is best left to the locals. The streets are narrow, and everything is on a steep hill. Most of the cars in town have signs of 'contact'. There is a car park at the hotel though. Los Olivos is built around a courtyard, with typical Mediterranean architecture - lots of tiles and wood (dark in this case) . Breakfast is self-service (apart from the coffee) and taken in the courtyard. There are a few tables inside. I was not there enough to use all the facilities, but there seems to be a lounge. My room was smallish, but functional, with a good-sized bathroom with a small bath best used as a shower. The hairdryer is in the bathroom, which I don't think would be allowed in the UK. It was a bit temperamental and I had to keep pushing the plug back in to keep it working. (Continental plugs, not to BS 1363, you see.) It may be a safety feature - if the hairdryer fell into the sink the plug would fall out. (It's probably not close enough really.) There were twin beds, which were average, but not exceptionally comfortable. There was adequate storage space for two people with a lot more luggage than me. The aircon was so good that you'd have thought you were in a refrigerator, except the light didn't go out when the door was closed. There was also a desk/dresser and a mini bar. Other room may be more luxurious, but at the price, no complaints. Apart from my telephone didn't seem to work.

"Excellent views of Arcos"
Lovely hotel charmer with excellent views. We were greeted with a glass of sherry. Our room was located at the top with spectacular views of Arcos. Breakfast was amazing and I highly recommend it. Driving to the old town was challenging even with a subcompact car. Be on guard for a guy asking for tips in the parking lot near the church. He's not affiliated with the parking lot.

"WONDERFUL, BUT. . . . ."
The room was spacious, spotless and beautiful with the most amazing view. We were stunned by the beauty of the views. However the total lack of wifi and the fact that we had to sleep in twin beds when we requested a double bed did detract a bit from the view. My husband, a bath person, also complained about the lack of hot water which I did not notice in the shower. Locating the hotel is a challenge even with their directions. We chose to view it as an adventure and it was. We were rescued by a local man who jumped out of nowhere and ran in front of us directing us up streets that, were we a cat we would have needed whiskers to determine if our car would fit through. The directions from the hotel had warned us against such people. We found him to be a life saver. The town of Arcos itself is hauntingly beautiful and is to be recommended. The narrow streets and vistas cross the steep cliffs make it well worth the difficulty of getting there.

"Golf Hotel "
Golf Hotel, so quite a way from other facilities, very peaceful, food more 4 star than 5, there was a bar attendent in Ricardos the 8th and the 9th in the evening called Antonio, he was very rude and arrogant. The other members of stall were really lovely and very helpful. the staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. We were told in the bar, by Antonio, that All Inclusive people had to serve theirselves, as if they were second class Citizens. We loved Jerez when we came a while ago so wanted to see it again, you would need a car if you didn't want to stay around the Hotel.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
