"Cool and calm hotel well-placed for everything"
A very nice hotel. About a 15 minute walk to the old town in one direction and to the restaurant and hotel that Rick Stein went to in the other. Friendly cafes, a decent supermarket and the beach with sun beds just round the corner. We loved Cádiz!

"Idea for short break."
Chose as one highlighted by Rick Stein. Excellent location on superb beach. Friendly staff and good room/facilities and sea view. The pool is quite small but OK as you can walk out straight onto the beach (only Hotel in Cadiz where you do not have to cross the road. The beach is amazing and full stole up and down takes over an hour - finewide sandy beach and excellent swimming. Plenty of excellent restaurants close by - Taberna Marmita (very small - need to book but 1st class modern dishes), La Marea etc. and also excellent beach bar (Potito Beach) close by where cheap drinks/eats, superb staff and Spanish music only - which was great. We ventured down to Ventorillo Del Chato - amazing restaurant and the head chef meets/greets everyone and explains in excellent English what on offer and suggests combinations - a quite amazing lunch. In Old Cadiz the Casa Manteca was an authentic Spanish tapas bar -get in early as few seats and most have to stand - amazingly low prices and 1st class tapa. Plenty of history in Old Cadiz from Roman, through Moorish to modern times. Only word of warning - don't we caught out by the Levante (wind) which can at times of the day be fairly constant. You do not realise the effect of the wing cooling you from the sun - pack some 'After Sun' just in case- glad we did ! Would we return .... definite yes.

"Comfortable fun"
This is a difficult review to write. Overall, we liked the Riu Chiclana better than this review will sound. The food was very good. The service staff friendly, helpful and charming. The rooms were clean, the pools were beautiful and the beach is incredible. However, there are some downsides. The hotel is an older property and is showing its age. It needs some major repairs and, possibly, some reconstruction. The rooms are small, windowless and claustrophobic. The air conditioning is older and doesn't work very well. Also, this is a resort for people who do not want to do anything but sit in the sun and relax by the water. The hotel is miles from anywhere you might want to visit and there is only one tour operator to speak with if you want to go off property. This tour operator has very limited offerings. The front desk staff is very nice and tries to be helpful but most of the information received about things that were not on the property was wrong. Overall the ClubHotel Riu Chiclana deserves 4 stars and I would give it 4.5 if I could but it isn't perfect.

"Sherry tasting birthday celebration"
The hotel is in a really good location for the Equestrian school, and for the Sandeman bodegas. The staff were extremely helpful, and the restaurant recommendations were first class. Our room was large, and clean, with good facilities. However the twin beds were very hard.

"Very central to the City"
We have just stayed 4 nights at this hotel and have really enjoyed it. We had a Junior Suite which was large with a separate sitting area and dressing room. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. There was a good selection at breakfast and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Would use this hotel again, especially for the location.

Jerez de la Frontera is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Jerez de la Frontera, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Jerez de la Frontera hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
