Wonderful property close to the city center and Inverness castle on the banks of river beds with spectacular views of the river from the rooms!

From the moment of entry, the Mansion House disappoints. Stains on a carpet that has pealed up in the center to obstruct your luggage. Windows that won't close due to rot. Canopied beds, decayed and dropping detritus on your head as you sleep. A bath with a trickle of shower pressure, scalding hot with no cold water. No response to requests to address the water. No one to staff the front desk. The kitchen closed for dinner. Off site property manager no where to be found. A once proud grande damme with stone cheekbones rotting from within.

Didn't stay and cancelled my booking. V central location and manager helped me in a professional manner when we realised the accessibility issues.

We stayed in the apartments and had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a common area. It had the potential to be incredibly nice. Keep in mind that the building is in the bar district, so you will get a little noise from that. It was like visiting your old friend’s house, it was just surface clean. Dust bunnies under the beds, sticky floor (probably a cleaner residue), mold in a shower. I cracked up at the vase of dead flowers on top of the stove. We were missing a toilet seat, one shower door rail was broken and all the dining chair legs were loose. Luckily, my husband noticed before we sat on them and did more damage. The beds were hard, but the bedding was clean, the bathroom utilities were mostly clean and there are towel warmers. The area was very walkable with an Tesco around the corner and the price was right.

Very clean and well appointed rooms. Contactless check-in was simple thanks to the advance email fro. The hotel. A little disappointed we were not able to eat at the property due to lack of staff but several other options a few minutes away. We would return!
