Beautiful hotel pools are fantastic, staff alright not much personality. Rooms are amazing and comfortable cleaned daily.
Games room closes at 9pm so if older kids very boring nothing to do in evenings.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and valued. Every request was met with a smile by the members of staff.
The pool area was spacious with comfy loungers and a view of the sea.
Our room was fabulous. Clean and with a huge comfortable bed. The shower was very powerful which is always a bonus and there was a separate bath.
All in all I cannot think of anything that was not up to scratch.

We spent one week in hotel Ole Tropicana in October 2017. The hotel is situated within walking distance from the Troya beach and Siam Park, both approximately 10min walk. It is a rather small hotel where you can feel that they do look after you. The hotel is freshly refurbished and clean. We had a room at the ground floor with a really nice terrace. The room was good. There is only one bad thing to say about it. Occasionally on the morning there was not so pleasant smell in the room. Perhaps there is a drainage problem in the area or something similar. We were half board and the food was decent for most of the nights with some really good choices.
My son had his birthday during our stay and we found a bottle of champagne in our room that day. A really nice surprise! The chef agreed to make a birthday cake for him what saved us a hassle of searching for one in local shops. It was a really delicious cake! All staff were very kind and helpful!
Overall really nice stay at the hotel.

Central position in the Golf Complex Golf Del Sur. Plenty of restaurants near by and on a main bus route.
I found the complex very pleasing, poor bar/restaurant a little disappointing but only due to slow service, food was fine.
I would return again but only to a 1 bed room not a studio.

This is a large and beautiful hotel with exceptionally nice and helpful staff. The pools are gorgeous but lounge chairs were very difficult to come by as they are quickly occupied by tourists who seem to get up by 6 am to put books and towels on their selected spots. We actually spent no time at the pool (sadly) as sitting out in the direct sun for hours end was not an option. There were endless numbers of families with very young children (infants and preschool) - often crying and fussing in the heat. There was no place as a couple to retreat to (adult pool) or adult dining area in which to escape this reality. However, the truth is this is a very family oriented facility and as long as this is what you need, and you like large masses of people crowded together you will be fine - it will not disappoint.
We did some research and it appears there is a smaller Riu hotel in Tenerife that might better suit a couple or people looking for a quieter environment. Again, it is a beautiful, large resort and was terrific for people younger children. Our conclusion was that as a couple, we did not really fit their target audience.
We also spent a long hungry night when we needed something to eat and were advised by the front desk that after the restaurants close for the evening there is no food available through room service or purchase at the hotel at all - a gap of at least 12 hours in which the "all inclusive" hotel has no food for guests is not acceptable.

This hotel has a great view and location close to the beach and nearby marina for excursions. The surrounding area is EXTREMELY tourist-y, so do not expect to experience any local Spanish or Canarian food, architecture, experiences. Lots of restaurants nearby that have mediocre food with cheap drinks and great views of the ocean.
Hotel staff is fantastic, food is mediocre to good, however it is catering to a mostly older crowd so the "bland at times" food was just underwhelming to my wife and I who are more adventurous, spicy food eaters. That being said, the selection of food was great and there was always enough that tasted good to fill us up. If not all-inclusive, drinks at the bars within the hotel are reasonable enough, however drinks at nearby restaurants (1 euro pints of beer abound!), or better yet at nearby grocery stores (within very short walks) are much cheaper, so going that route for your alcohol might save some money.
If you are seeking the authentic Canarian vacation, this is not your spot, however if you want a fantastic beach view, amazing staff, lots of food choices, and close to local tourist attractions (Siam Park, Zoos, Marinas, tourist-centered shopping) this is your spot. Very family friendly resort as well, although not packed with kids. Generally the crowd is mid-50s and up Europeans, with some younger families and couples mixed in.

We loved the apartment, it had everything: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full equipped kitchen : fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave etc etc.
The bonus is a large terrace where you can sit and lounge or eat.
The only down side for us was the view. You will need to book a sea view, as we overlooked a building site. Or should I say that they overlooked us !
We stayed half board and the breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. Worth considering as all the restaurants are a taxi ride away.
