Great place to stay, definitely coming back

Positives: amenities, location, pricing Negatives: showers are rough, WiFi is terrible Overall I’d come back though

The location was fantastic -- near the lake and restaurants associated with Heavenly (easily walkable). The price was great also, compared to the other options in South Lake Tahoe. The hotel is showing it's age with its furnishing. But it was clean and well maintained.

The property site was excellent. Love the sand. Room proximity to the beach was excellent. The unit we stayed in had some issues; oven didn’t work. Burner on stovetop didn’t work. Toilet broke. Shower door didn’t stay closed. Both tv’s didn’t work.

Great hotel in the heart of Carson City. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Really nice beds and TVs. Shower head was wonky and had to be turned to the wall to avoid being shot in the face when water was turned on due to shower door placement. Lovely pool, fun casino with generous comps, and bowling alley in the facility. Additionally, the hotel granted full breakfast at the on-site restaurant, "The Grill" at no additional charge - which was excellent and a wonderful surprise; staff in the Grill was all amazing! The prime-rib was welt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the best I've had since my mom passed away. Most all of the staff in this facility was super friendly with the exception of a cocktail waitress who saw me gambling with my husband and sister, but balked when we asked for water, stating, "If you're not all gambling, I have to charge you". (Huh? She could see that we were!) That said, we are looking forward to returning again. Thanks for a great week, Gold Dust!

Everything was great except that the constant loud music in the lobby and restaurant overwhelmed conversations with friends. Overall, it was just too loud to the point of being irritating.
