Great Barrier Reef hotels in Cairns and Northern Beaches, Queensland

Very comfortable, excellent pool etc but reception very slow and free WiFi (Accor member) useless (smoke signal speed) - supposedly new and having teething troubles but would have been upset to have to pay for this. Even the hardwire option provided in lieu was very slow

Good, fairly basic hotel in quiet area but not far from shops, restaurants, and esplanade. Did not eat there, so no comment.

Excellent reception staff, very helpful! Really enjoyed the feeding of the barramundi. Dunne was very knowledgeable!

Nice comfy bed modern room.Lighting poor in bathroom.weird heavy blanket. Cleanliness of room let down by smoke butts left on balcony.Overall has everything needed for great weekend getaway .Would stay again.

Nice walk to the cafes and esplanade, handy to bike track and lagoon pool.

Had trouble with our air conditioning went and told the manager. Nothing was a problem when we got back from a trip everything was fixed. Really good beds

Good hotel close to downtown and the boardwalk/harbor. Get the rooms with balconies facing the water. Liked that they would store bags if you stayed there on either side of day trips.

The important basic parts like a clean, comfortable room is what I received in my experience staying in this hotel. It was affordable and a decent stay for someone who was only spending a few days in Cairns. The negative points I wish I had access to but weren't functioning features of the hotel at the time I stayed was 24 hour reception service that is described to have online, the reception office was closed early at night and opened late in the mornings so I was unable to set up the complimentary shuttle to bring me to the airport. Also, my room was nice but I quickly noticed the telephone was not plugged in or had any dial tone when trying to call for food. I had a mobile phone but the wifi service was so poor I could not use it to look up any information.
