Lovely hotel with the friendliest staff

We opted to stay in Barrel Factory room. What a huge disappointment! I would NOT RECOMMEND staying in Barrel Factory. You don’t even feel like you are a part of the hotel as you have to go to different bldg that looks old and run down. The staff was giving directions how to get there and finally decided to show us (good thing because we would not have found door on side). The room is pretty much just a bed (with no headboard) and old little couch and table that is so scratched. See picture of room. We did decide to have dinner at their restaurant, which was delicious. Breakfast was not much of a selection and shoved in a tiny corner and breakfast staff was very aloof.

Great hotel with the excellent breakfast.

Very handy for Bergen centre, only 7 or 8 minutes walk. Very good breakfast selection. Room was better than we have had at more expensive hotels. Discount on the car parking was handy if you are motoring.
