"A nice convenient hotel, great breakfast, welcoming"
Lovely hotel in a nice old part of town, convenient for restaurants and all the sights. Breakfast and the lady who run it are both excellent. Staff friendly and helpful, very nice to have a Spa available. Comfortable room, would certainly stay again despite cleaner forgetting to do behind the bathroom door........ a bit hairy!

"Nice hotel- easy walking to town center"
Nice old Mansion. Easy walking, right on the river. Parking is difficult, but possible off site. Only issue: it was very warm in Salzburg and there is no A/C. Fan provided but an uncomfortable night

"Beautiful Character Hotel"
Just 5 minutes walk from the main rail and bus station, and 15 minutes from the old town, this hotel was perfectly located for us. The rooms were immaculate , comfortable and very well appointed. The bathrooms and beds luxurious. This hotel definitely deserves it's four star rating, though it is anything from ostentatious. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

"right in the heart os Salzburg "
If you are visiting Salzburg- This hotel is the place to stay! The location is probably the best part. If you are accustomed to high end hotels, bare in mind this is a very old hotel. The facade dates back to the 12th century and it is just magical in a very Hansel and Gretel kind of way. The service is impeccable and the Austrians are very welcoming. Also- great for families! We tracel with 3 children and the family rooms are perfect! Inquire about rooms 47 and 48 - they connect and are huge!

"Lovely hotel close to city centre."
There was a lot of outside noise all night. Air con would also have made room more comfortable during the night. Otherwise highly recommended.

"Quiet hotel close to the centre"
Booking in was quick and efficient. Room was very comfortable and spacious (but we had been upgraded to a room with a sofa bed for a third person). We were lucky to have one of the rooms with a small balcony. The bedroom was exceedingly quiet as all the rooms had a double door to the corridor. The public rooms were a disappointment and looked very dated. Unusually, the reception desk and bar closed at 10pm. After this, you had to let yourself in the front door using your room key. All the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. We found the hotel very central for transport around Salzburg and convenient for the railway station. Most of the time we walked to/from Salzburg centre.

"Beautiful, charming, perfect location"
Located on a square, directly opposite Mozart's house, this graceful and gracious hotel was close to everything we wanted to do. It is within sight of the pedestrian bridge (the "locks bridge") across the river to the old town center. Our junior suite was large and well decorated, with a wonderfully spacious bath. Mirror everywhere. Comfortable bed. Breakfast is a feast and included with the room. Irresistible pastries, abundant and delicious cheeses, slices of ham, prosciutto, turkey ham, fresh fruit, stewed fruit, cereal, yogurt, hot buffet of sausage, bacon and eggs, and eggs cooked to order. There were fresh squeezed juices, and coffee and tea. Jams, preserves, and butter. The staff was hospitable and cheerful without exception. It was a thoroughly pleasant stay, and we will stay here again whenever we return to Salzburg.

Franking is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Franking, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Franking hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
