The hotel sits on what seems to be hundreds of acres. Beautiful lakes, golf courses, manicured grounds. The staff and service was great. The main building was very nice. The restaurants were quaint and the food was good. We stayed in the executive suites area which is a cluster of buildings right down from the main building. It was very pretty and comfortable. These buildings have been there awhile and the suite was a bit musty and it looks like it's been awhile since their last update. However, it was clean and very large and we enjoyed the stay

Very convenient location to civic center and mall, rooms appear to have been recently updated. One elevator (of 3) wasn't operating, so there was some waiting at busy times. Parking charges are excessive at $15.00 per night.

Hotel was under construction. No pool, no workout room. There was no breakfast . Everything was fine, we got what we paid for. It was clean. "East End" of Charleston was questionable, vagrants were common. Downtown was beautiful, we enjoyed the mall.
