"Wonderful staff, clean but spartan room"
The staff was unfailingly gracious and helpful. The location next to the Berkeley Springs State Park with it's great value spa packages is a big plus - you can literally walk from your room and into the spa in under a minute. Plus the Renaissance Spa connected with The Country Inn itself, located on the 4th floor has some great value packages and a lovely décor and setting. Two complaints - we were given one of two "pet-friendly" rooms at the end of the first floor hallway in the annex. It was explained that these rooms are situated to provide quick access to an outdoor space for dogs out of the nearby back door. No such outdoor space really exists - it goes straight out to a paved parking lot. You need to take a quick jaunt around the building to reach the part of the park next door where dogs are allowed. So a bit of an inconvenience on a cold morning. The other complaint is the complete lack of color or décor in these two rooms (we saw both.) Plain white walls, plain white bedspreads, plain white sheets/pillows. And the mattresses were as HARD as a rock. Not sure what message the hotel is trying to impart here (we don't want pet owners to stay too long?) We expected a little more character and comfort in our room. But, that said, it was very clean and over-all we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great food at the restaurant too!

"Nice hotel, stayed 2 nights. Close to town."
Quiet, comfortable, & clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good however only 4 tables with 4 chairs for the eating area. There were no trays to take back food to your room easily either, ( perhaps the hotel frowns on taking food back to your room?). So if you didn't hit breakfast time just right, you would either balance food on your lap on a chair or bench. They really need to enlarge the eating area to make guests more comfortable. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Berkeley Springs hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
