On our return from Moab we booked an overnight stay in a junior Suit. Hotel reception staff were very pleasant and we were checked in speedily, room was a nice size with all the equipment and facilities you would require if staying for a week.
On entering the room we found that the Bin not emptied, the leather bed sofa was uncomfortable to sit on, cushions worn and require replacement foam cushion filling. Fabric chair had dirty worn arms and smelt of dog.
Apart from this the hotel ticked all the boxes.

The Hotel Telluride offers guests a nice alternative to other properties on the main strip or up on the mountain village. It's close enough to downtown to walk to restaurants and shops, but far enough away so you're not dealing with noise and traffic. Rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. And the staff was welcoming and helpful. I'd definitely stay there again.

"Moderately priced hotel when considering the area."
Great location; within walking distance of the downtown and restaurants. Not luxurious but adequate. Clean. Free newspaper, coffee and bottled water for guests. The river side of hotel is the side to ask for. Does have a pleasant little outside area for morning coffee and fresh croissants from the "French French Pasteries Bakery", Jean Pierre's or evening drinks. Applebees attached to hotel for lunch/dinner. My husband and bro-in-law really enjoyed the train museum. My sister and I really enjoyed shopping, especially at Earthbound resulting in our 20 something daughters making out like bandits (@ our expense of course). Overall, we enjoyed the area; we plan on returning to take the Durango-Silverton train trip, a short river raft trip and explore the area more. We will book a room at the Durango Downtown Inn (river side) when we do return
