"Funky hotel steps away from gondola"
My husband and I stayed here after traveling all day through the mountains. When we first arrived the area seemed crowded with no place to park. However, as soon as we checked in everything fell into place. There's an underground parking space with elevator access that eliminated what first appeared to be too much traffic in the area. The room was large and airy, the bar provided good sports and beer, and we were steps away from the free gondola. Loved the convenient location!

"Wonderful historic hotel with great staff!"
We stayed only one night at the New Sheridan but ended up eating at the Chop House and having drinks on the rooftop bar. Everything was excellent. The room was lovely and the meal and service were top notch. We had a smaller room but it was well appointed with robes, a swamp cooler, ceiling fan, etc. It was quiet as well.

"Nice hotel but mediocre in accommodating guests"
Room was very clean and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi might as well have been non-existent (cellular data was faster than the free Wi-Fi). The Concierge was not at all helpful in guiding for things to do since it was our first trip to Telluride and seemed irritated to be bothered with such trivial questions. And the guidance we did receive was inaccurate. Valet could not find our car- took 20 minutes and the other guest also waiting for valet had a mix-up with his keys and was frustrated. In all, very nice hotel in appearance but mediocre in accommodating our needs.

"Nice property but strange interactions with staff"
The location is amazing and the property is nice. Breakfast was good in the hotel’s restaurant. The view from the balcony, over the golf course and mountains, was fantastic. The room was comfortable. We had one very notable complaint, as follows: We called down at around midnight when we realized there was no remote for the TV. Reception said somebody from housekeeping would be up shortly. A few minutes later there is a VERY LOUD knock on the door with a voice saying "Engineering!" I open the door and two large men are standing there, in what look like Park Ranger uniforms. The one asks me if I need a remote. I say yes. He says that he must program the remote. Both men enter the room. Long story short, here is the correct way to do this: Send one person, not two, to a guest’s door for a simple request like this. Next, do not presume to enter the room. Ask nicely to enter the room, or explain via a phone call that someone will need to enter the room. Much less TWO UNIFORMED MEN at midnight, to provide a remote control that should have been there in the first place. If I was alone, I wouldn’t have minded so much. But my lady was in the room. We both felt the encounter was bizarre, especially for an upscale hotel. Aside from that, the hotel was good. Too many add-on fees, however. Charge a price and be done with it. Also, if you charge a $25 per day Valet fee, why then allow Valet staff to accept tips? The tipping culture in this country is out of control.

"Nice mountain view for sure."
It was just an overnight stay. The hotel is very clean and the view is spectacular facing the mountain slope. Glad that we found a free parking on the side of the street. We didn't mind finding a spot, it's a nice walk though.

"Large family gathering"
The hotel is beautiful! It's walking distance (though they have a shuttle if the altitude is hard on you) to the gondola into town. The restaurant overlooks the mountains and is a wall of glass. They arranged two functions for us and both were handled perfectly, even when I threw in extra people at the last minute. Chef Bud is great.

Older building but plenty comfortable, clean and overall decent. First hotel I have stayed at that had twin beds which was a little weird, and that's really the only reason it doesn't get a perfect score.

Telluride is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Telluride, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Telluride hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
