"Decent hotel, great location "
We have been to Elevation several years in a row now and keep coming back for the good service and great location. However, this time I was a little disappointed in the overall comfort and amenities. Our room was incredibly warm at night with no way to cool it down, there were a TON of dogs in the hotel that barked late into the night and 1 out of 2 elevators didn't work the entire time making the wait time exceptionally long when you had to go anywhere. In addition, I used to really enjoy the nightly wine hour which I was told was just Fri and Saturdays now. When I went back on Sat night, I was told it was actually just Friday. Really disappointing!

Am an old person; had not skied for over 10 years. Took a group lesson which was most helpful -- BTW, there was only one other person in the "group."

"Quiet weekend in Crested Butte. "
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Elk Mountain Lodge. The building was originally the boarding house for the local mining company that has been re-purposed as a quaint yet homey B and B. The staff was friendly and helpful. The common area was open, full of books and art work. Our room was clean and cozy.

"Excellent location."
We were in CB to celebrate a wedding held in the Wedding Garden just north of the hotel. The room was actually a suite with mini kitchen and very comfortable. We were allowed to use the pool and fitness facilities next door as those at our hotel were being renovated.

"Elegant, comfortable, and incredibly convenient"
This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything about it was top notch. The service was impeccable everywhere - from the Front Desk to the Room Service to the shuttle service to the ski concierge. it was not a one time deal - every person we met was aimed at outstanding customer service. We were there at a down time so that may have helped. It also allowed us to be upgraded to a suite from a king room which was such a nice touch and so greatly appreciated. The convenience could not be beat. The ski concierge on the 3rd floor made it so easy to get your gear on and off each day. I loved coming back to the hotel with hot chocolate/marshmallows and fruit infused water waiting in the lobby. The rooms were gorgeous. The suite had a full kitchen complete with full size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and stackable washing machine/dryer and an espresso machine which I loved! the balcony was wonderful to enjoy my espresso and watch the skiers - what a fabulous view we had right above the ski concierge. the bathroom was enormous with a huge tub and separate shower and separate toilet and two sinks. The see through fireplace (seen from bedroom and living room) went on with a switch - we used this feature every night. The suite also had vaulted ceilings which were just beautiful. It was spacious and luxurious and just incredibly well thought out. The linens and bedding were also wonderful! Everything was so warm and seemed brand new.

Crested Butte is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Crested Butte, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Crested Butte hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
