Bargain perfection. Newly renovated hotel 0.8 miles from the plaza. Very clean and quiet with a shuttle if you need it, although I enjoyed the safe walk into town.

Great budget motel at an amazing location!

We were in town for Die Walkurie, making this our third Santa Fe Opera trip at three different locations to stay. It seems to be an older Days Inn type motel that has been rebranded for a more Southwestern flair. The older condition is noticeable, but the rebrand works. The air conditioner in my room was older and didn’t work that great during the day. We would come back to the hotel to a muggy room. The location is unbeatable for the price paid. Everything is a short drive away! Parking is easy and the complimentary breakfast was great! I really appreciated them being a hotel that continues putting the TV remote in a plastic sleeve! This may very well be our new go to for future trips to Santa Fe!

A REAL GEM NEAR DOWNTOWN SANTA FE!

We loved this motel! We came to Santa Fe for a concert on the Plaza. Santa Fe can be so expensive in the Summer, especially for lodging close enough to walk to the Plaza. This gem fit the bill! They even have a shuttle to take you to the Plaza which we took advantage to get to the show. We walked back to the Motel after and it was an easy 20 minute walk. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and check-in was a breeze. What we really enjoyed was The Social Club; a friendly bar/restaurant attached to the motel. They have a great Happy Hour with good sized $5.00 House Margaritas and other deals on beer and wine. We will definitely be back!

Excellent location to enjoy Santa Fe

Great location to enjoy downtown Santa Fe. Walking distance (20 Minuets) to the Santa Fe Plaza and only 8 min to the Railyard. Breakfast was substantial with many options and a great way to kick off the day. The pool is small but a nice addition to the property. The king size bed had a very comfortable mattress. The size of the room was good. Plenty of on site parking and the restaurant/bar seemed lively and had live music over the weekend. The negatives: The AC in the room did not work well. The sink dripped constantly which seemed like a waste of water. We specifically requested housekeeping on 3 occasions and they never came to refresh the room. Overall I feel that location is great and the room is comfortable and a good value.

Nice location, nice free breakfast. Small rooms. Noisy location very close to pool. Noisy HVAC. Internet patchy and slow. No daily housekeeping during our 4-night stay. I would choose a different hotel for our next visit.

Good Location, So-so Room - Adios

The Sage calls its on-site restaurant and lounge "Social", and that's what the hotel seems to aspire to be. However, otherwise it lacks any serious class. The room I stayed in was completely generic: good-sized and relatively comfortable bed with little area to walk around it, a serviceable yet clearly aging bathroom, a TV with no interesting channels (mostly old shows and movies shown all the time everywhere), and an included breakfast that was of complete disinterest to me, i.e., the same generic cereal (hot and cold), a little fruit, and the ubiquitous tasteless scrambled eggs and sausages (and I don't eat pork). In a five nights stay, I only ate one breakfast at the Sage and it wasn't worth it. (Note: a very short distance from the Sage was a wonderful restaurant called Vinaigrette. If you do stay at the Sage, run, don't walk, to Vinaigrette!) Finally, I didn't have consistent hot water throughout my stay. The stay were very nice in trying to remedy the situation, but they were never able to completely get it right. I give them an A for effort, but maybe a C minus for results. One more thing: the Sage is well located and if one is willing, it's only a 10 or fewer minute walk to the popular Railyard area (up Guadalupe St.) and maybe a 10-15 minutes walk to downtown Santa Fe, up Cerrilos.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. All areas of hotel were clean including our room. Property was well lit at night. Especially want to give a shout out to Katrina at the restaurant, she made our stay even better! Very attentive to everyone at the bar and for morning breakfast. She was very busy and didn’t miss a person in the bar. She stood out as a real “hustler”. Made us all feel like we were a local!

We originally planned to stay for three nights but ended up leaving after just one due to several issues. When we arrived, we walked into our room to find a puddle of water leaking from the refrigerator. It took two calls to maintenance before someone finally came to address the problem. Unfortunately, the noise from the room above us was constant — we could hear every movement, which made it nearly impossible to get any sleep. The WiFi was unreliable and basically unusable during our stay. The room itself felt cramped for our family of four and, to top it off, we noticed bugs. Additionally, a group of older women gathered right outside our door to smoke, and the smell constantly drifted into our room — it was really unpleasant.Due to all of these factors, we made the decision to cut our trip short and only stayed one night. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for.

An excellent low frills budget friendly base from which to explore santa fe. Right by the railyard district, and a 20ish minute walk to historical plaza. Right by a Whole Foods for shopping convenience. Very respectable little restaurant and bar on site with chill outdoor seating. The 15 buck "experience fee" does actually add value thru breakfast and shuttle, so worth it.
