Had tickets to a concert at Foxwoods. Picked this hotel as they have a shuttle to bring you to Foxwoods. The proximity to Foxwoods is great (maybe 10 minutes away). The shuttle runs every 15 minutes, so this was helpful.
The room was clean and the staff at the front desk were very welcoming.
What I didn't like is there is a $13 fee that I was not advised regarding charged at the end of the stay. I called the hotel to see what this fee was for and it's for wireless internet (which I did not use) and the bottles of water that are in the room. I could have done without both items and not been charged this additional fee.

Can't beat the Omni for location and ease of access to Yale and to/from Rte 95, but the old girl has definitely see better days. The staff is willing and helpful, but there is a sense of tiredness about every aspect of the hotel, from the lobby, to the restaurant, to the room. But, then, I would say that about New Haven, as well!

The place is being renovated. We had a studio with a full kitchen (including dishwasher). The bathroom was a bit old but everything worked perfectly. Plenty of hot water. Free breakfast buffet was adequate. The complimentary shuttle to places within 3 miles was very useful. There is a nice outdoor common area with tables and umbrellas and a play area onsite.
There is a big Jordan's furniture store next door which has an indoor ropes course that seemed very popular.
