My second time staying in this hotel. Its so close to my business accounts. BUT I wanted to stay here again. Beautiful boutique hotel, not like all the cookie cutters out there. This was my first time though, having a meal at this hotel and I have to write the food is outstanding! Enjoy it!

"Good Hotel for the Value"
I travel to Stamford on business. The hotel is dated, but it is clean, and a good value. Comfortable size room, clean, microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms I have stayed in.

"The location was perfect for our needs,"
Our stay was very pleasant. The hotel is easily accessible. Of course, since we once lived in the area, there was no difficult in getting to the hotel. The room was exactly as requested. The only problem was that it was located a very long way from, the elevators. It was quite a walk to the room. It is a large hotel. Parking was adequate. The only problem was that there were multiple functions going on when we arrived (weddings, charity dinners etc.).The attendees at these functions used up most of the parking so we were required to park a considerable distance from the hotel entrance. Valet parking was available but was rather expensive, comparable to that of a downtown Boston hotel. I felt that was unreasonable given that the valet lot was immediately in front of the hotel's main entrance. That was where the guest parking should have been and the valet parking in the back. These problems were an inconvenience but that was all. I would stay there again.

"Comfortable and VIntage Stay"
This hotel was WONDERFUL!!!! I wish I did not have to go home so soon. The surroundings were vintage meaning that I felt as if I was back in time. This hotel was easy and reasonable to stay in. Was not far from the shopping center-a very short walk! There was shuttle service to the Train/Bus Station Center about 5 minute ride. And the room was cozy and the bed was BIG!!!! I slept very nice. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Stamford area!

    Explore Stamford

While deeply connected to nearby New York City, Stamford is much more than just a bedroom community for the Big Apple. This mid-sized Connecticut town boasts plenty of attractions in its own right, from a scenic waterfront and indie theater to antique shops galore and a buzzing restaurant scene.

Spend an idyllic afternoon at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, a working farm with nature trails and a gallery-filled Tudor manor. Cove Island Park is a pleasant green space with beaches, a rocky shoreline and decent bird watching over salt marsh and mudflats. For more aquatic action, take a cruise aboard an 80-foot schooner run by SoundWaters. Time for a drink? Stop at Half Full brewery, a craft beer maker that offers tours and tastings.

Aside from NYC, another nearby getaway is Greenwich, with historic homes, pretty gardens and a boutique-lined main street. In the opposite direction, maritime-loving Norwalk is famed for its aquarium, seafood restaurants and nearby islands. Both towns are easy train rides (less than 20 minutes) from Stamford.
