Loved the spacious room, pool is great for kids. Pool bar needs a re-do with a drink menu and premium liquors as well as fresh fruit juices. Snorkeling we excursion to Mexico rocks was fantastic. Saw loads of wild life.

This resort is quite a distance from San Pedro, so you need to know that it will take a golf cart or water taxi to eat somewhere besides the hotel restaurant (which was very good), but as long as you know what you are getting into, you will be pleased! I can't say enough good about the hotel, and especially the staff! They were amazing! I just want to give a shout out to Joshua, Ida, Victor, Christian, Doughy, and Jose for making our trip amazing! Thank you!

We had a great stay here - so much so that we decided to stay a little longer, and would have stayed longer still, if there had not been a wedding that had pre-booked out all the rooms. By the end, the staff made us feel like old friends. It is a beautiful building, the onsite restaurant is TOP NOTCH, in a great location overlooking rainforest. Short walk to town and a cheap taxi ride back if you don't feel like walking up the steep hill. The only downsides to the whole experience was firstly that the original room we were booked into had a very unpleasant smell of mould that was coming from the ceiling. I think the roof needs replacing in that part of the building. I believe the hotel is aware of this, as apparently other guests had complained, and the room had a portable dehumidifier as well as a separate air conditioner. This didn't help the smell, however. It was so overpowering that we requested to be moved. Unfortunately this meant moving to a smaller room with a different aspect (still pleasant, but not quite as nice). The only other quibble was only getting 2 small bottles of purified water every day. Other hotels provide water dispensers around the property. I don't like having to pay for drinkable water in a hotel as expensive as this one. But other than that, it was a lovely hotel and I would gladly stay there again.

We stayed for three days and it was magical! The whole staff is commited to making sure your stay is the perfect vacation experience. Elmer was so kind and wonderful to help us arrange it shuttle from Belize City to the resort. He also helped us to arrange our day trip to Tikal and it was seamless! The food was incredible! If you can stay here, do it!!! The jungle was peaceful and almost surreal!

The resort is beautiful, and has a great staff.
The room is great. I don't usually sleep well the first night in a new place, but I did at Ka'ana.
Ka'ana is a little further from San Ignacio than it appears on the maps on Expedia, so you can't really walk to town. However, they will provide a shuttle during the day, or you can get a cab for $10. to walk into town.
The restaurant and bar are good, but the menu doesn't change much from night to night. The vegetables from the organic garden were excellent.

Upper loft suite was magnificent! Overlooking the pool and out to the nearby ocean!! Wonderful restaurant and most staff treated you like royalty!! The pool and Oceanside hammocks and chairs were awesome. Just the connections getting there were a little bumpy and lengthy.. but worth it. The Mayan ruins are a sight to experience!!

We went to Almond Beach Resort for our honeymoon this April. The staff are super amazing, friendly and very accommodating but the hotel amenities are lacking a little when it comes to water sports. The room was super clean and the cleaning staff made us new animals every day. We loved the shower and the bed is comfortable. The fact that our room opened right out to the beach made it that much better.

Belize Ocean Club is one of the nicest hotels on the peninsula. It's divided into two sides and both have stunning views. The food is good, the pool is big, and the beach has plenty of nice, comfy chairs for lounging. Having free use of bicycles, kayaks and paddle boards was an excellent perk. It is a 25 min drive to the main village, so a rental car is probably your best bet. But they have plenty of parking and Placencia car rental will bring it to the hotel. We had some minor maintenance problems with the kitchen faucet, but again, very minor. And if you take the Monkey River tour, the boat will pick you up at the hotel dock, it's great.
