"Second Overnight"
I happened upon this hotel this summer, and found it to be very comfortable. I was driving through the area and decided to stay again since I enjoyed it the first time I was there. There’s also a diner about a block away—great food and wonderful service.

"Great destination for a weekend getaway"
My wife and I visited the Roundhouse on a Sun-Tues and had a very good visit. Despite some of the other reviews, we highly enjoyed the accommodations and experience overall. All in all, the hotel is cool and convenient, the setting is beautiful, and the staff are friendly. It was a great choice for a few days of quiet and relaxation. We will be coming back to this spot!

"NICE"
Nice except for the typical old hotel smell, which was a bit much. I did not care for the breakfast. But expected for the price of the hotel. The area and view were very pleasing and the staff was nice and helpful. If in the area, I may return.

"Nice Enough But Not A 3 Star"
All of the staff was nice and friendly and helpful, and the hotel room was clean and nice enough, but the exterior less so, and overall it was more of a 2 star, maybe 2.5 star hotel (definitely not a 3 star facility as listed or ranked). So I'd stay there again, but at a lower price that better reflected the hotel facilities.

"Pretty good, though not great"
We had reserved a room with two queen beds but at checkin were told, because of a computer problem (it's always convenient to blame the computer) only a room with two double beds was available and we'd be on a waiting list for the queen rooms because, while the rooms were empty, the computer wouldn't allow them to be booked. Weird. Over all, the room was nice and we weren't inconvenienced by the doubles versus queen. We were not, however offered any sort of reduction in price, but were told to see the manager in the morning. It was very busy at the front desk the next morning and we had to be somewhere so we blew it off. The "grab & go" breakfast was disappointing, though we did load up on granola bars. While the coffee was okay, there was no regular milk, only flavored creamers, which I hate, Also, the air conditioner/heater in the room was extremely cold when we got there. We turned it to heat which got too hot. The bath towels were not at all representative of the name. They were so thin we could barely dry off even though we had two each.

"Super 8, no surprises "
Affordable for a home game weekend for the Pointees. Room was on the end, so had the heat blasting through the night. Bed was comfortable. No amenities - no expectations either! Had to run the water for 20 min before it got warm! Staff was great - asked for extra pillows and blankets and they brought them right up. Exits are confusing, consider an emergency evac plan. Bottom line - a good night's sleep at a reasonable price. Breakfast a Denny's was surprisingly good. They've done a nice job with their menu.

"Lovely Fall getaway"
If you,re looking for a quiet, restful and entertaining getaway, look no further! The Caldwell house is a very well run and maintained Inn offering luxurious accommodations and excellent breakfasts. We stayed in the Carriage House which is located just to the side of the main Historic home. The Carriage house has 4 suites and we stayed in the Vineyard room. The room was spacious with a king size bed, luxurious linens, fireplace and even a small wine fridge with offerings ready for your arrival. The Inn keepers are welcoming the grounds are beautiful.

"Lovely!"
The staff and accommodations at the Inn are wonderful. The Inn was impeccably clean, spacious and well appointed. Roger, the owner/architect, was on hand to welcome us and give us a tour of this gem in downtown Beacon. The massage and facial were both excellent. The spa products were well chosen and of the highest quality.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
