"A very high standard hotel"
We arrived at the hotel after three long days at the NEC Birmingham, it was very late afternoon and we were tired after the Journey. The reception staff were fantastics and after the formalities quickly took us to the room. First impressions of the room were very positive, it was warm and very comfortable, the bathroom was very nice with underfloor heating. We requested a table in the restaurant and we were so pleased to find that the manager had managed to accommodate our 'late' request. The service was perfect for us, not too fast ( nothing worse than being pushed from course to course ) - and old school service process' were in evidence - wonderful to see this again. Overall, it was a terrific dinning experience followed by coffee in the 'great lounge'. Next day we were blessed with strong sunshine and after breakfast we spent an hour in the town, just a few minutes away by taxi. On returning the the hotel we had a relaxing afternoon in the beautiful gardens, with a jug of Pimms. Overall a very high quality hotel, great food and service. The hotel deserves a five star rating - well done everyone who made our visit such a delight.

"Great Hotel"
The hotel was great. Only a short walk into Cheltenham (about 10 - 15 minutes), this is definitely somewhere we would stay again. Free parking at the hotel was a plus, as this meant we didn't have to worry about the car when we were there. The rooms were spacious and bright, with lots of pleasing additional features including bath oil for the bath, speakers in the bathroom, heated mirror (always a sign of a good hotel!), complementary celebrations and water, robes and slippers. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

"A very well run elegant hotel"
After our initial experience with central reservations we nearly cancelled our stay, as my husband had injured his leg so we wanted to check the room would be accessible. It was clear the phone lines were down at the hotel but the first two ladies we spoke to at central reservations didn't seem to care less and just wanted to get us off the line (one even saying we 'couldn't amend our booking as we had booked through Expedia'!). On our third attempt the guy who took our call thankfully wanted to help us and promised to email the hotel to request a room avoiding any stairs. We are glad we persevered as the staff at the hotel itself were fantastic and couldn't do enough for their customers. Without exception everyone we met from reception to the bar and waiting staff, greeted us with friendly professional service and went out of their way to make you feel that nothing was too much trouble. We had to cancel our restaurant reservation as the place we booked in town had lots of stairs, so we ate in the hotel bistro where we certainly were not disappointed as the food was absolutely excellent. The d├ęcor in the hotel is very tasteful. Our room was well equipped, comfortable and spacious. It is clearly a very well managed hotel. Definitely the best Hotel du Vin I have ever stayed in.

Amazing hotel, location, facilities. Great service. Spa is fantastic too. Second time we stay in this hotel, and will go again. One minor thing: is much less exclusive and quite crowded when spa and swimming pool opens to everyone (not just to hotel guest) on a sunny Sunday.

"Relaxing break away! "
Really enjoyed our stay at the CGH, very very comfortable room and a breakfast worth instagramming. In walking distance of central Cheltenham (10 minutes) which was perfect for our short stay! Kind & friendly staff. Special shout-out to Simon!

"Pleasant hotel on edge of Cheltenham"
It's a pleasant small hotel set in pleasant grounds on the eastern edge of Cheltenham overlooking open countryside, but also near a main road. The reception is a bit makeshift with a desk and computer, but is sufficient for the size of the hotel. Although I was only there one night I only saw two staff but they were helpful enough for my needs. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the room was comfy and the en suite was also clean and the shower easy to use. The only downside is the proximity to the main Cheltenham to Oxford Road which meant that you could hear traffic and it could keep you awake. All in all it was a pleasant hotel to stay for a short overnight stay.

"Stunning location, relaxed atmosphere"
A lovely old house set in beautiful gardens at the heart of a stunning village. A perfect setting for our 25th anniversary. The staff are helpful and friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. The furniture in our room was a little tired but the room was very clean. The bathroom was modern and huge with roll top bath and separate large shower. The only downside was the room being the first at the top of very creaky stairs and landing (it is an old building) above the reception did disturb as guests returned at night and early morning. Also we were wakened early by what we suspect was the kitchen extraction unit (room Mustians) is possibly over the kitchens??) . However, we are early risers so it did not detract for us. You can eat in the bar or restaurant, the menu is the same. The bar eating area is old and cosy whilst the restaurant is modern, comfortable and bright. We enjoyed both.

"Perfect hotel in the Cotswolds"
Great and cozy hotel with incredible staff who took great care of us and our dog over a long weekend. Cheltenham is very central and provides an excellent hub from which to explore the region. I cannot say enough about the staff who are excellent in every way and made our stay fantastic. Even our dog didn't want to leave!

"FIRST CHOICE FOR ANY TRIP TO CHELTENHAM"
A FREQUENT VISITOR TO THE QUEENS IN CHELTENHAM AND SINCE THE REFURBISHMENT AND CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP, THE HOTEL APPEARS TO HAVE REALLY UPPED IT'S GAME. THE MEMBERS OF STAFF AT CHECK-IN/OUT, THE STAFF IN THE BAR LOUNGE AND THE NIGHT PORTER WERE ALL VERY FRIENDLY YET PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT AND WENT THE EXTRA MILE.

Cheltenham is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Cheltenham, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Cheltenham hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
