Sticky surfaces, traces of spit and other disgusting things on the walls and in the shower, the air conditioner works when it feels like it and it's completely moldy inside, clear traces of mold in the corners of the room. The worst was a constant smell of sewage coming up from bathroom and sink. The last day the smell got so bad i felt nauseous, there were even flies that i guess came up from the sewage. The room doesn't remotely worth the price.

The room was nice and clean. I loved the location of this hotel and found it walkable to almost everything I wanted to do. The staff was very helpful, and they even had cards you could give taxi drivers with the address of the hotel for the language barrier. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Wonderful stay at Blossom House Shanghai - hotel lobby was beautiful upon arrival, and we received a great rate to upgrade our room, which was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful without ever being overbearing, and we enjoyed the excellent hotel breakfast on our last morning before departing - one last chance to savour our favourites from Shanghai! Even though the property is in a busy area, you don’t feel it once you’re inside - like your own cocoon between meanderings around the city. There’s plenty to do within walking distance, plus you have easy access to the metro and/or booking a Didi. Nearby food recommendations: • Yuxingji Xiehuangmien (go beyond the usual crab roe noodles and try the yellow croaker noodles!) • Dahuchen for consistent quality (pan fried buns, vermicelli soup) • Shendacheng for mugwort & red bean paste glutinous rice dumplings Places worth visiting beyond the area: • Longhua Temple • 1933 Laoyangfang • Suzhou Creek walk • Suzhou (day trip) Great for cocktails: • Swirl • Suzu • Union Trading Company
