Not the fanciest hotel BUT great location and the room was large, clean, comfortable and priced right! Couldn’t ask for more. Parking easy. Dinner was great. Breakfast was wonderful - what a way to start the day exploring Shetland. Ate one night at Frankie’s fish seafood - it was great. Make sure to make reservation if you want to eat at restaurant otherwise it will be take a way. Staff at hotel were great. I would stay here again.

Sarah the host was lovely and we enjoyed her art/gallery and garden. Chalet was in a good position if you have a car. We didn't know you couldn't drive your car to your chalet - suitcases have to be lugged up and down steps. We would have liked some outdoor seating. Kitchen was small but good and had everything we needed. Lsundry was fine. I thought the chalets were near a beach because of the photos but they weren't.

A very nice room although I found the bed a bit soft. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. I ate in the restaurant twice but recommend eating at some of the restaurants in town.

We had a lovely stay with Peter in one of his triple rooms. A very nice, super clean place that we greatly enjoyed.

The only issue was lift not working but Jane helped to take luggage up the stairs. Breakfast a very wide choice table service. Very clean room and restaurant evening meals very good. Parking around the reception area but confusing when you are not driving. Hence the luggage issue.

The location of this hotel was excellent. RIght on the main street by the water and next to the high street. The hotel itself was "interesting". There was no lobby or restaurant open and there wasn't always someone at the front desk. There is no elevator, but the female staff carried up my heavy suitcase four floors. The floors are not level and they squeak. The windows casings were broken in one of the rooms we took. The shower hardly put out any water and it was slightly unsafe trying to step over the bathtub shower to get out of it. But, I loved staying here, with all that counting against it. I had a beautiful view of the Viking ship and the ferry from my fourth floor room. I actually would stay here again!
