The hotel in La Ciotat is next to the harbour, plenty of restaurants and bars a short walk away. The hotel is clean, modern and smart with excellent staff who were friendly and knowledgeable. The pool is great with amazing views over the harbour. The gym is not worth visiting, needs updating and given its own room. The car park is large but a little tricky to find but can be found on Rue Lapèrouse, 13600 La Ciotat, France. The car park is large and well lit with easy access to the hotel from inside. We stayed when there was a market outside, but this couldn’t be heard from inside the lovely air conditioning room with comfy bed and a lovely view from the balcony over the harbour and boats. The room was a little dated, but was freshly decorated and in excellent condition.

This a a charming hotel. They have a safe and convenient parking and electric charging. My dog was welcome. The restaurant is very nice . The pool is fabulous after walking around Aix. The staff are delightful.

This beautiful property is located on a hillside overlooking the local Provence countryside. It is a bit secluded, but that is why you booked here, right? The rooms are large and well appointed (we booked a deluxe room) and live up to the 5-star rating. The restaurant for dinner is highly recommended for an upscale culinary treat while staying at the hotel. We had an amazing prix-fixe meal that was the highlight of our stay. The breakfast buffet is sufficient for a hotel of this caliber, but they could do more to elevate the experience. While the pool is nice and in a great setting, the poolside catering is almost nonexistent. They should have serving staff do the rounds to take orders for guests lounging at the pool. The only disappointment of our stay was the gym facilities. You really cannot call this a gym or fitness room, as the room itself is glass-encased, making it too hot during the day to workout in. The big miss is that there are no dumbbells or any respectable fitness equipment to speak of. This is a huge oversight for guests who are planning for a multiday stay.

This hotel is a true gem in Avignon. I stayed for one night and wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the property. My room was comfortable with a great AC, a little balcony, and stocked with an array of high end bath products. The central garden was a beautiful spot to rest after a day of walking around. The star of the hotel, though, is the gentleman who oversees the property. He was incredibly kind and helpful, going out of his way to give recommendations, make reservations, and ensure the guests felt well taken care of. I will return on my next visit to Avignon.
