This hotel is very nice but not 5 stars. Would definitely comeback. Easy to get lost if you're in the basement and watchout for those stairs! Location is fantastic. The food and room service are not like most hotels. Overall this is a great place to stay. Ironically being in the basement or -1 floor was ideal. I would stay in the same exact room. Definitely will go back for sure.

"Brilliant Location, Great Facilities."
We spent 7 days in this hotel and we could not have picked better. Considering we were stressed and tired they it was brilliant to be able to drop off our luggage early and explore the local town of Zaandam which is literally outside the hotel! Not to mention the hotel is a minutes walk from the train station with great connections to Amsterdam Central, Schipol airport and also the windmills at Zaanse Schans. The hotel staff were lovely and friendly, and apart from us forgetting about the deposit, it was a great stay (our fault!). The hotel has a bar and restaurant area where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as drinks but we did not end up trying this due to the high prices. The room itself was lovely and clean, nicely designed with a wonderful bathroom - though the bathtub is small. Only downside is the prevailing trait of having 2 single beds! But this wasn't a deal breaker for us. The hotel also has a brilliant wellness center including a sauna, small gym and swimming pool that we wish we had made more use out of - a perfect way to relax after spending all day walking in Amsterdam. Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable, well-kept hotel with great travel connections I would heartily recommend Inntel Hotels Zaandam.

"Convenient location, comfortable room"
My room was quite spacious and I was comfortable throughout my week-long stay. The air conditioning was great to have on warm days. But this hotel, contrary to the amenities list published on various hotel sites, does NOT have room service. That was a huge disappointment for me. Also, the front desk staff speak a bit of English, but are definitely not fluent. They don't seem knowledgeable about basic Amsterdam facts and just kept referring me to the tour/ticket business across the street. I didn't feel like they were a resource for me at all, so do your own research before you arrive.

"In a central position, "
The hotel was in the museum area of Amsterdam, all easily within walking distance. Also a very frequent tram service to other parts of the city. We had a wonderful evening of classical music at the concertgebouw, also just 10 minutes walk away. All the attractions we booked through Expedia went smoothly.

"Clean, renovated hotel close to airport"
I booked this hotel for my last 2 days in Amsterdam. The staff were welcoming and answered any questions I had. The room was clean, comfortable, and recently renovated. I used the free airport shuttle, which was very convenient. If you do not want to eat food at the hotel, there are many delivery options nearby that only take 20-30 minutes. If you are planning on taking public transport into Amsterdam, please be aware that the bus stop is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and the trip will take about 1 to 1.5 hours overall but you can also take an Uber if pressed for time. Overall, for the price of this hotel, I was pleased with my stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
