Regarding the location, it is by a train station but note that it is far away from the main train station “Lyon Part Dieu”. Also note that the train station it is by is under construction, so be prepared to hear banging and machinery at work around 7:00 each morning if your room faces the street. Also there is a large homeless encampment right beside the hotel and the train station. Despite this I felt safe and there were no concerns of belligerent people. Reception was friendly and even though the air conditioning was broken the first night of my stay, they provided a standalone fan for my room and gave me a partial refund on that night’s rate after I requested such. The room itself was small but adequate. There were several black marks on the walls which were unsightly (looked almost like squished bugs). The door on the shower was misaligned so water would spill out onto the bathroom floor each time I used it. The wifi speed was fast and useful for streaming videos. Overall there are several aspects that could be improved but this was a serviceable room for my trip.

Ski slope in front of Hotel. Staff is just wonderful and kind.

I thought the hotel was lovely and the room was beautiful and very spacious. However, when we came in, there were no luggage racks in the room. We had no place to put our two bags. So we called down and waited three hours for luggage racks asking two or three times if they would be up soon. And we thought this was really Not great service.

We chose not to have breakfast, it was expensive but was told it was wonderful.

Comfortable and quiet room, excellent breakfast, and nice garden area to relax in. Staff were also very helpful and friendly. Would return again!

The hotel has a great location. For some reason, they have decided to take their mini bars out of their Suites. No fridge was available in the suite, no ice on the floor. I needed my medication in the fridge near me, so they brought one up and just sat it in the room. . Their policy is to take your medication and store it in the fridge by check-in. It was very offputting for a high-end hotel. The rooms were clean, but very cold decor. The breakfast was average at best. We’ve been traveling through Europe for a month and it was our least favorite hotel so far.

Fantastic hotel, right by the lifts, bars and restaurants. Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast and great bar.
