A very nice place, clean, simple room, everywhere well maintained, friendly helpful staff. Nice garden to have breakfast in and the hotel is in a good location, just outside the city centre (which means it's quiet in the evenings) but only 5-10 minutes' walk from the centre (depending how fast you walk). The location also affects the price, which was very reasonable. The only thing we would have liked to have - in view of the unusually high temperatures - was AC but other than that, wonderful!

A great hotel with a lovely buffet breakfast in a very good location right near tram stop.most things were walkable and buses and trams right by the hotel.

Top notch stay, great place to rest after days at the Tour de France!

Hotel was wonderful and the price was so reasonable. It was in the middle of a quaint fortress old town just a couple of blocks from the Rhine River. It was super close to the train station. It made us feel like we were living 10 centuries ago but yet the hotel was totally updated and very comfortable. Would love to go back.

The involvement of the owner at dinner made the experience unique and personal.

Our favorite Hotel in Basel. Centrally located in walking distance of the railway station, very nicely outfitted modern rooms, very friendly front desk staff.
