Cleanliness is not a priority at this hotel

The lobby smelled like a very strange cover up for smell of dampness and mold. Upon taking a shower witch was full of mold including the shower curtin , the grout and the ceiling over the tub were they had tried to fix with a patch that was covered in mold also. I ened up going to the hospital and had a severe copd asperation and had to was there for hours. Upon also discovering that the fire sprinkler was broken above the beds the room smelled badly of dampness and mold. No exhaust in the bathroom did not help the matter. The smell that came from the air conditioner was damp and molding. I misses a very important test because of have all problems I went through with the mold issue, not happy at all was not offered any kind of compensation and then charged on my credit card. I tried to talk to the desk clerk and was given no help.

Stephanie was so wonderful and patient and knowledgeable! The property is absolutely gorgeous and exceeded my expectations. I’m so thankful places like this exist and are being preserved and cared for by people who are passionate about history and story telling. Stephanie also prepared the most delicious breakfast for us despite my gluten sensitivity. I was so appreciative! I can’t wait to stay again (and hope to arrive earlier this time ;) ).

Good sized room and clean. Wifi was horrible at a max of 4 mbs. Breakfast was sparse. Toilet was draining down the bowl and tank refilling every 60 seconds. Even so, I would stay again.
