The hotel is really far away from everything and the owner uses that situation to gouge his guests. I wrote and called the hotel repeatedly before we arrived asking how much the boat ride cost back and forth. He never responded even though he sent me other messages. He knew once we arrived we’d have no choice but to pay double for everything listed on his website. When I pointed out that the prices were double he just said the website is old. The owner only speaks French so if you don’t speak French good luck communicating with him. Our first morning at the hotel I asked if I could just get a cup of coffee. The owner said no. I had to pay $20 for breakfast to get a cup of coffee. Seriously. Be warned the boat ride back and forth is super long and bumpy. I felt like I was riding a bucking bronco in the rodeo. You have to hold on for dear life so you and your possessions don’t bounce out of the boat. And it’s $60 per person to be tortured like that every time you need to go to the main island. The owner did end up giving us three pieces of fruit and a free glass of wine. The lunch and dinner portions are huge.
