"Great location property is beautiful, needs upkeep"
Very nice property with beautiful views and very convenient location. Is over priced and especially annoying are food and drink prices which while we can afford are so high we refused to really endulge mixed drinks at about 24$ a pop is seriously over priced as well as 70$ brunch

"Beautiful slice of Paradise. "
Travelled here 29th Mar - 03Apr with my partner and mother. Stayed in two premium deluxe rooms in building 5. Initially had mixed concerns booking this place due to the mixed reviews however none of the cons came to fruition. Absolutely loved it here. No issues at all. Lovely, friendly staff who were always open and warm. The rooms were both equally inviting and spacious. Yes perhaps slightly dated however does not impact on the quality of the overall stay. Food was reasonably priced and filling. Front house staff spoke enough English if needed and were very attentive. If you have concerns about the noise of the waves crashing, use your brain and don't visit an island destination. Yes the waves are loud however you're staying on the beach and should expect that. It was very calming and added to the ambiance. The issues of the towels as some have reported were not an issue. The system of the towel cards worked and we always had a towel given if provided. Other amenities such as soaps etc were also plentiful and replenished when needed. Pool was also inviting and well kept. Perfect for getting away from the western world and stresses to just let yourself melt away and relax.

"Not bad for a low-end hotel"
This hotel is not bad for one of the cheaper hotels in Papeete. Know that while it's only a few blocks from downtown it's in a light industrial area, so if you have trouble walking you might need to take a cab to find food. Luckily the cabs are not very expensive. They do have a clever little trick going -- most flights arrive very early in the morning, but if you want to check in before 3pm they charge you an extra $90 even though the room is empty and waiting. Sometimes it's worth it, but if paying extra is going to be a problem check out some of the other hotels.

"Got the view Matisse painted."
At first we were skeptical, but the place grew on us. If you want North American standards, go to the big hotels out of town. If you want an authentic Papeete experience stay here. Ask for an outside corner room for an amazing view of Moorea. Ignore the main street--you won't hear it after hours. Lobby is a breezeway; you have to turn on your room's air conditioner. Speaking French helps with the front desk staff but they try hard. Great location, if you are interested in the downtown. Easy walks to supermarkets. If you want golf and private beaches go to the big hotels. Lovely parks in three directions, shopping everywhere. If you want golf and private beaches, go to the big hotels instead. Acquaintances of ours who did so somewhat regretted not having our location here for at least part of the time on island.

"An amazing hotel in a magical place"
Manama Beach Resort certainly did not disappoint. The location was excellent - close to all attractions and walking distance to shops. The resort was beautiful, intimate and cozy. It had a Tahitian feel to it and was not a large chain type of hotel feeling. It has a nice mix of garden bungalows, beach front bungalows and over the water bungalows. It was so nice to have such friendly, caring staff that went above and beyond to service our needs. We had our 2 kids with us and they had it set up with extra beds at no charge despite the website saying it would be an extra charge. We had an over water bungalow which was out of this world. We jumped off our balcony into the ocean and snorkeled amongst the coral reef just below our bungalow. There was even a glass cut out in the floor of the bungalow that we could see the coral reef and fish below us. The room was always clean and every night the staff would come in to clean it up again and place beautiful flowers on our pillows. On our first night they brought a delicious pineapple cut out and refilled. We rented kayaks and paddle boards and snorkel gear at no charge. This was a dream vacation for us and they certainly delivered on that.

"Great location for a hotel"
Restaurant Expensive and food not so good If you need a cab try to get one on your own. Cab driver on call with the hotel is impolite rude and makes up charges against taxi policy. Fact we we learned later.

"Linareva paradise."
My girlfriend and I had a beach bungalow. It was quite large had a bathroom double bedroom and a sizeable kitchen dinner sitting room. There were two beds in the sitting room we swopped one for a bench as we wanted to sit in comfort we covered it in pillows. We cooked our own food to save money for our trip as we enjoy whale snorkelling diving walking ect. The surrounding back drop is so beautiful . Volcanic mountains covered in lush rainforest . At the front a calm lagoon protected by a reef. This is a quiet place to relax. There are sit on top canoes snorkel equipment cycles. We hired a small car. As we were leaving we noticed the owners had received a new dive boat rib. There is a honesty fridge with drinks on site. We prefer this kind of accommodation than busy more expensive places. The owners are very friendly and cant do enough to make you comfortable. Snorkelling with whales was amazing.

"Nice hotel, but not 5-star resort."
Hotel is obviously older, but looks to be recently upgraded. However, room is not perfect. There is a horrible sewer gas odor coming from shower, a not so great mattress, spotty replenishment of coffee, cream and frequent short drops in room internet service. Lack of seating: one chair at desk and a bed/sofa in room and two very uncomfortable chairs on patio. No good place to read due to uncomfortable seating/lounging everywhere. Hotel is a $30 taxi ride from everywhere. Food at hotel $30+ per plate (but this seems to be standard). Small market and a couple of restaurants in center next door. All staff are very nice and helpful.

Faaa is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Faaa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Faaa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
