"Nice hotel for a get-away"
Really enjoyed our stay here over the weekend. The view outside the window is unbeatable. The play room (pool table, chess table, etc.) on the second floor brought so many happiness for me and the boys in the evening. Very good location just off the Blue Ridge PKW. 5 min to the Mineral museum where the boys had a lot of fun. The nearby mountain view restaurant offers magnificent view with delicious food. The family style breakfast cooked by the owner couple is nice. Overall, recommended and will come back again.

"Quiet, quaint and comfortable!"
We stayed 2 nights and it was very clean and nicely renovated. Staff was helpful and it was very quiet though on a weekend in peak travel season. Being pet-friendly was a priority for us during the stay. We would highly recommend this motel. The town is small but nearby to Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls; Kay's Kitchen was good and there is an adorable small park there with a stream and ducks for a short stroll after a long day in the mountains.

"Nice B&B in a good location near Grandfather Mt."
Love the location of this b&b - convenient to restaurants and a nice walking trail and park within walking distance. Breakfast was good. Only slight inconvenience was there was only a bathtub with a hand-held shower in the magnolia room - cute and historic but an upright shower would have been better.

"Great value, awesome views"
For separate-room accommodations for two, you can't beat the price. The condo is spacious and comfortable - with the caveat that there's no AC, only a ceiling fan in the living space and box fan in the BR. If it's warmer than usual, sleeping can be a bit uncomfortable, but when the temps are normal, it's ok. (I'm a city dweller, not gonna leave windows open while sleeping.) No AC also means that the space can smell musty after being closed up, but it's not terribly off-putting. It's not brand-new, newly remodeled or anything like that, but it's comfortable and clean, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Just be aware that the wi-fi sucks. It's almost non-existant, but the view from the balcony makes up for that. So beautiful and peaceful that it's a pleasure to unplug for a while. Cellular and data service is spotty, as it is everywhere on the mountain. But again, the views make up for the lack of connectivity.

"Rustic"
Not all cabins have fireplaces as advertised. This was a big selling point for us, and we were disappointed we had no way to roast smores. Fish elsewhere as the ponds don't have many fish. The cabins are great though, for a fair price, with access to the mountains.

"Charming hotel"
This was such an amazing hotel. I wish that more were like this. It is a charming old hotel built in the 20's and completely renovated. The pictures of the rooms on the website is exactly how they look. I booked the 1925 room and loved it. All wood floors and very spacious! You even get a real key like many years ago! Each floor had a sitting area with books, games, and chairs to hang out. During the evening many people hung out on the charming front porch, the awesome bar area or the dining room. The breakfast in the morning was good. The only complaints was that there did not seem to be any way to adjust the thermostat in the room. It did get a little chilly at night time. Secondly, the shower curtain seemed dirty. Otherwise absolutely fabulous hotel worth more than 5 stars!! I would definitely stay at the hotel every time!

"Pleased with this hotel"
Nice hotel for an inexpensive price compared to the prices of the other hotels in the area. I like that it is right outside of Asheville, so it is easy to go into downtown, but nice to stay in a more quiet area.

Spruce Pine is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Spruce Pine, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Spruce Pine hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
