The hotel is modern and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, although the electrical points often didn't work. The pool bar was shut for two days while we were there and trying to get a drink seemed difficult. Staff were reluctant to get drinks for guests, which was puzzling.

We can’t praise this hotel enough. From the initial welcome to leaving the staff were so accommodating and pleasant. The old style is very relaxing and the room was spotless. The shower and lounge facilities in the room were fantastic. The views were spectacular. Sitges is a gorgeous seaside town. So pretty and vibrant in a uniquely calm and relaxed way. We were there for a conference in The Melià, which was a short walk away. Around the corner was a lovely strip of harbour side cafes, restaurants and bars. The beaches are clean and “relaxed” in their own way 😎. We know we’ll be back to Sitges and we know we’ll be back to Hotel Port Sitges.

Hotel very quietly placed which means no local cafes and restaurants. But the hotel restaurant had a good ambience and food selection, and they are most accommodating. To get to the buzzy beach front area is about 15-20 minutes walk, but there is a late running tourist train that can be used as a bus service as necessary.
The reception staff, all but one, were rather curt and did not make themselves easily understood. This might have been language, but mostly I think it was attitude.
The pool area was nice and quiet as mostly adults in September. But the loungers do need some attention before the next season.
Would stay again out of main season as facilities were enjoyable and don't mind the quiet atmosphere now we are aware of it.

We booked the hotel fairly last minute (a month before going) and was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews but our stay far exceeded our expectations. Room was lovely and spacious and clean, great shower and it had a small patio area too. Air con worked well and it was very peaceful, blackout curtains meant we could also enjoy a lie in! The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the bar staff make a mean mojito! Pool area was lovely too and not too busy (we stayed in Sept). We didn't have meals included and headed into town for food each night. It's about 15/20 mins walk which we enjoyed after lazing by the pool all day and along the promenade is a lovely walk even at night.

Barcelona’s weekend seaside retreat, trendy Sitges was originally colonised by artists and intellectuals and is now a very popular gay destination. It may be the Costa Dorada’s most sophisticated resort but it has maintained its local identity and the Old Town has considerable charm. Sitges also boasts lovely sandy beaches, very good restaurants, a vibrant nightlife and chic boutiques. Visit in February for the riotous Sitges Carnival.
