Having worked in libraries when I was young and volunteered in a Nica library when I was old the name drew me to the hotel but also that it was on Madison Ave right by Bryant Park. Very cool without being hipster, yeah which means the hotel had a closet with plenty of hangers, drawers, the right amenities in addition to a great location, fantastic staff and yes lots of shelves with books. One floor not only had books but a piano with lots of drinks and snacks but also was opened 24/7. The "Rooftop" which was on my filters had an excellent creative comfortable design with a small menu for food and of course drinks, also had wonderful indoors spots. While with only 14 intimate floors you don't get the best sunsets but you get cracks between buildings and a pink sky above. I even found a book in the lobby of Magritte that was published in Spain and had photos of his paintings I had ever seen before. Not the icing on the cake but the candles to brighten my experience.

Property and staff was wonderful. Love where hotel is situated with easy Access to all NYC experiences.

We loved our stay at 1 Hotel BK! Service was phenomenal, beautiful views, and the room was absolutely gorgeous. 10/10 experience.

Check in was terrible. My room wasn't ready until 5pm. When my room was ready it was not the one in the picture on the website. The only view I had was of the parking lot. There wasn't a microwave in the room and the fridge was so small that I couldn't even put my leftover food in it. I've stayed here many times and this was the 1st bad experience I've had at this hotel.
