"Welcoming Friendly Hotel"
We booked for overnight stay as we were going to a wedding reception a short walk away, the room was clean and bright with a lovely comfortable double bed, the bathroom was large and warm, the shower in the room did drip a lot so you could here it from the bedroom but we could tolerate it. The landlady was very welcoming and showed us to the room when we booked in, she told us what time breakfast was in the morning. We had a room key with a fob included so we could let ourselves in after they locked the door after 11pm. We slept comfortably and woke up well in time for a lovely breakfast, there is a lot to choose from, from cooked breakfast to cereals and toast and lovely filtered coffee. The room we stayed in had a nice built in wardrobe, table with kettle and choice of coffee, tea etc and uht milk, The bathroom has a heated towel rail, large sink with glass shelf over the top, and a bath with shower over the top, a good selection of towels with shower gels and caps! A thing to remember is if you are expecting a early quiet night there is a pub below so you are likely to hear the usual noises from such an establishment so bear that in mind.

"Everything you'd want from a B&B and more!"
Had a relaxing two nights stay in this fantastic B&B farmhouse. Sue was the perfect host throughout from welcome to departure and always on hand should you require. Room was spotless and full of little extras. Fabulous breakfast with full English and eggs of your choice, plus a wide continental selection. Two pubs both serving food just a 1 min walk away.

"Great B&B in Old Georgian House"
We spent a weekend in this B&B in mid-March. Check-in was straight forward. The room we got was the same as we'd booked (doesn't always happen at B&Bs), a king size bed in a relatively spacious room with it's own bath. The floors are creaky and uneven, and that's normal in a house of this age. Decoration was tasteful and comfortable. Amenities and coffee were included in the room. We had dinner in the small restaurant on the ground floor. Beware you have to let them know ahead of time that you'd like to stay for dinner. The meal was really very good and the surroundings quite pleasant. Bed was quite comfortable. There was minimal noise from adjacent rooms or the street. Breakfast was also quite good. My friend had the standard English breakfast while I had eggs and smoked salmon. Both were well prepared. Overall, a very pleasant stay. I'd recommend to anyone considering a B&B in the area.

"Nearby Attractions"
We liked this hotel because it had character as did the landlord and the rest of the staff. Vicky was really good with us. The landlord was also knowledgeable about the area and nearby attractions. He also knew the history of the hotel and the nearby prison, which is now closed. We found him and the locals to be very friendly. Our bedroom was the one with the four poster bed which we found to be extremely comfortable, having three lovely undisturbed nights in our warm and cozy bed. The food was also excellent and very much to our liking being freshly cooked and also reasonably priced. We liked the fact that this hotel had character and is a complete originality all of its own.

Shepton Mallet is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Shepton Mallet, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Shepton Mallet hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
