"City hotel in a country setting"
Easy to find with ample parking.Situated on the edge of town it is a city hotel but you feel you're in the countryside.Only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Salisbury and 10 minutes to the cathedra, ideally located.Check-in was simple and quick and executed efficiently by the helpful receptionist. The size and cleanliness of the room was excellent.Breakfast, continental, was fine , a cooked option was also available for a surcharge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Nice central hotel in Salisbury"
The people at the hotel were lovely, one of the staff dealing with a very racist rant from an elderly guest in an impeccable manner on Saturday morning (it was not directed at her but at foreigners generally but she dealt with it in a very tactful way) and it is for this reason I have rated the hotel excellent, as it is the people ultimately who make the stay enjoyable or not. Although the room was a little tired the bed was huge and very comfortable. I had the usual irritation with the TV as each hotel seems to have a different set up on sky, but that is more me than the system. The bathroom was a little disappointing as it was very small with lime scale along the bath where the shower screen was fitted - but Salisbury is a very hard water area so I suppose it is to be expected. The breakfast was very nice, with plenty of food for the big eater, and a good variety including cold meats and fruit.

"Something old, something new"
A wonderfully characterful hotel. Great staff - friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was delicious, although the restaurant itself a little dark ( and I kept expecting Julie Walters to appear and ask "is it on the trolley ?"). I felt breakfast was a little too expensive even though it was hot, tasty and with a good choice. Getting to our rooms meant negotiating numerous narrow passageways and stairs ( it is an old hotel ! ) but the bedrooms were modern, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Lovely large beds although sadly with two mattresses pushed together - a bit uncomfortable to spread out - which spoils the luxury of having a large bed in my opinion. The hotels location makes a great Base for exploring the area. Loved the lounge and the lovely fire in the open fireplace ...... very relaxing sat there after dinner with a drink.

"Great hotel, fairly wheelchair friendly!"
I stayed here just one night, but I had a fabulously comfortable sleep! The room was a good size, very clean and recently decorated (my visit was March 2017). As a wheelchair user, I can also say the accessibility is pretty good. There was a slight problem getting through the entrance door as the threshold is a bit high, but staff were quick to assist in getting me through a more appropriate door. They were also instrumental in getting by baggage into the room! I had requested a wheelchair accessible room...not sure if what I got could be classed as such...it was plenty big enough to accommodate my wheelchair (powered chair), but there was only one grab bar in the bathroom and was just a standard one to ease getting in and out of the shower. There was no grab bars for the toilet or inside the shower, either, but I saw afterwards that they are available on request (which worries me slightly as temporary grab bars can be dangerous!) I managed fine, but you may want to call ahead and ensure they have grab bars and a shower bench in the room before you get there. I also recommend calling from the car oark for assistance if you are on your own and disabled. The staff are VERY willing to help you! I highly recommend this hotel for cleanliness, comfort and friendliness!

"Lovely hotel, close to Salisbury City Centre "
It was a lovely place to stay and very conveniently placed, close to the City Centre. The receptionists were all very helpful and very pleasant with it. Certainly gave a good impression and made us feel welcome. We didn't eat in the hotel because we wanted to go out. The hotel restaurant looked busy though and people looked happy. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the bedroom was very hot at night, even though we thought we'd turned the heating and the towel rail off. It didn't spoil our stay though and we would return.

Salisbury is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Salisbury, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Salisbury hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
