"A very comfortable hotel with beautiful views"
We only spent one night in the hotel and wished we had more time. This hotel is a great getaway in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales which is great walking country. The hotel serves a delicious breakfast and dinner. A perfect weekend.

Very comfortable stay in very traditional surroundings. Room clean although décor a bit tired and jaded. Perfect location with superb views and a very pleasant walk from the lake.

"Great friendly hotel in a great location."
A friendly welcome greets you at the hotel. Everything is explained about the hotel and puts all worries at ease. The room we stayed in had great views down the valley and was very spacious, fresh cake each day in the room was a very nice touch. Bathroom was very well presented and shower was very refreshing. They have a book in the main lounge with plenty of walks around the area with detailed instructions making them easy to follow. With access from the back of the hotel straight onto several walks made the whole experience very stress free with it being our first time visiting the lakes and wanting to do several walks. Breakfast was lovely each day with plenty of choice. It is easy to get into Ambleside which has plenty of places to eat, Nanny Brow send you a great list of restaurants they recommend, which has a variety of options. I would definitely stay at Nanny Brow again and would recommend it to anyone.

" Our stay at The Fat Lamb."
Very much enjoyed our stay at The Fat Lamb. The staff were very helpful. The room was comfortable and the linen was very clean, but an update to the room was needed. Like the rest of the hotel, everything was clean, but a little tired. This would not put us off staying there again because the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, not fine dining, but really very good home cooked meals and plenty to eat. Worth going for the food alone. There is a nature reserve, but this is not accessible for disabled visitors, but a nice garden for sitting out and taking meals.

"Average hotel, too expensive for what you get"
Bathroom heating wasn't working, and although it was an easy fix (radiator just needed to be bled) staff did not care to solve it in 3 whole days. Location was good. Facilities in the room and throughout the hotel disappointing - the closet was very limited. Breakfast is good enough.

"Lovely Hotel, Excellent Breakfast and Superb Staff"
Stayed at the Windermere Hotel for a long weekend 3 Night break in May. Even though we arrived before the Check-In time of 3pm we were able to request a car parking bay which the Receptionist kindly provided, the parking bay was then ours for the duration of our stay which was a relief as we wanted the freedom of being able to take days out by car without the fear of not having anywhere to park on our return. I would like to note that there were plenty of available parking bays, and that although a very small fee of £8 per night is required that we didn't see any issue at all with this, especially given that your parking bay is exclusive to you and cannot be taken by other users. We were allocated a Front facing room on the second floor and I have to say the View was wonderful due to the high location of the Hotel which basically overlooks the entire town and lakes albeit from a distance. We had a Standard Double room which contained all the amenities you would require and was also on-suite with Bath and Shower. Everything was clean and tidy. The Breakfast, although a Buffet Style, was plentyful and Brilliant, with fresh and excellent quality Cumberland Sausage and lovely thick bacon, there was also a wide variety of cereals Juices, yogurts etc. Your Tea and Coffee are topped whenever they run low : ) The Staff are great and friendly and are always available to help should you need anything. Bar prices were also cheaper than those of local bars in town.

Sedbergh is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Sedbergh, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Sedbergh hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
