We had a great time. Very relaxing, friendly staff. The only negative: we were asked if we wanted to take our drinks to our room at 10:15pm. We felt a little rushed!

"Lovely hotel in a beautiful old building"
Stayed as a stop gap between Scafell Pike and The West Highlands. Good location, just out of a town, but quiet. Lovely rooms, great breakfast, very friendly, efficient staff. The only possible criticisms I could think of are that the rooms could have been more thoroughly cleaned, but we're of a good standard, and it would have been lovely to have an alternative to tea and coffee provided in the rooms (like a mint tea or similar), but these really are pinickity things. Very good hotel, wonderful staff, good value for money.

"Great Location and Breakfast"
We booked a bed and breakfast rate through Expedia and it was totally worth it since the made to order breakfast was excellent. The only downside was that the room did not have Air Conditioning so we were a bit stuffy since leaving the windows meant having to hear thumping music from the Saturday night dance parties in the area. We would return if the price is right.

"Nice hotel within walking distance of the centre."
Our stay coincided with the Agricultural Show so the place was very noisy with Young Farmers, although our room was at the back and was nice and quiet. Because of the noise/busyness we walked into the village and had a very nice meal at The Globe. The staff had been on duty at the show and were overworked at breakfast. The bacon was tepid, and menus had not been put out. The girl on duty was very pleasant but working very hard to deal with breakfasts and reception and could have done with some help.

"Great friendly hotel in a great location."
A friendly welcome greets you at the hotel. Everything is explained about the hotel and puts all worries at ease. The room we stayed in had great views down the valley and was very spacious, fresh cake each day in the room was a very nice touch. Bathroom was very well presented and shower was very refreshing. They have a book in the main lounge with plenty of walks around the area with detailed instructions making them easy to follow. With access from the back of the hotel straight onto several walks made the whole experience very stress free with it being our first time visiting the lakes and wanting to do several walks. Breakfast was lovely each day with plenty of choice. It is easy to get into Ambleside which has plenty of places to eat, Nanny Brow send you a great list of restaurants they recommend, which has a variety of options. I would definitely stay at Nanny Brow again and would recommend it to anyone.

"Gorgeous almost boutique style hotel "
A warm welcome awaited us as we arrived late. Immaculate room with mountain views and gorgeous grounds. The manager was extremely helpful and with wit and humour guided us on our proposed climb of Sca Fell Pike. Great local gin and tonic and excellent breakfast. Comfortable room with all the usual comforts. We eat at the hotel at the food was excellent with outstanding beef fillet and duck and sticky toffee pudding. The spa was small but excellent. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

"Nice hotel halfway between Windermere and Bowness"
Situated at the top of a steep hill as the name implies, first impressions of the hotel were very good. Nice easy check-in although we were led to believe that the newspaper service was complementary as there was no mention of an additional fee (only realised when it came to check out that they charged us £4.20 for 3 papers). Not many of the rooms have a view of the Lake but this didn't really bother us as we got to see plenty of it on our travels. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Breakfast was nice and I enjoyed the full English. The waiter (male) wasn't particularly welcoming on our first breakfast at the hotel which was disappointing. Not a massive choice of continental options either. We were also surprised to find the fire exit door (situated next to our hotel room) open when we returned from breakfast on the second day and it was still open when we returned from our outdoor walking adventure in the evening! When it got to 9pm I ended up closing the door. We felt this was pretty poor of the hotel in terms of safety standards. Also our tv had poor signal on the second night (no access to BBC 1 or 2). Overall we were reasonably satisfied with our stay. I think at half the price we would be very happy with the stay but as it really wasn't cheap we expected it to be much better.

"Nice, friendly pub "
We really enjoyed our stay here. The pub was perfect - great location for Scafell Pike; great food (especially breakfast that was included); and lovely room. The pub food in the evening was great too. Definitely recommend booking a table though because it can get really busy in the evening.

Seascale is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Seascale, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Seascale hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
