Excellent accommodation. Super king size bed and sitting area. Walk in shower plus spa bath. Very clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Irton Hall is surrounded by beautiful grounds to sit or walk around and enjoy the ducks and peacocks. In all a wonderful stay. Thank you so much.

"Hotel of character with lovely mature grounds"
We booked for 2 nights. One with a Virgin voucher and we added an extra night. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded from a standard double to the Bridal Suite which overlooked the beautiful lawns and mature trees. This was probably down to my daughter who had informed the hotel it was my birthday on the 21/7 at the same time when she arranged to have a nice bottle of red with a covering note for our arrival put in our room. Room was excellent with an antique 4 poster and matching furniture. Bathroom was large with shower cubicle and also a jacuzzi bath. We ate in both nights as the weather was poor. Menu was wasn't extensive or gourmet but plenty of choice. Staff, from reception, bar and restaurant were lovely and courtious. We opted to have our breakfast delivered to our room both mornings and this worked well but a small table would have been beneficial.

"Very nice hotel, close to the Beach, lovely staff "
I'm surprised it wasn't overbooked! Lovely location, friendly staff, GREAT breakfast - all for a damn good price! They were extremely helpful when I had to get a refund for 2 nights as my 4 day stay got cut short - so a big 'thank you' for the helpful lady on reception too!

"Nice hotel halfway between Windermere and Bowness"
Situated at the top of a steep hill as the name implies, first impressions of the hotel were very good. Nice easy check-in although we were led to believe that the newspaper service was complementary as there was no mention of an additional fee (only realised when it came to check out that they charged us £4.20 for 3 papers). Not many of the rooms have a view of the Lake but this didn't really bother us as we got to see plenty of it on our travels. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Breakfast was nice and I enjoyed the full English. The waiter (male) wasn't particularly welcoming on our first breakfast at the hotel which was disappointing. Not a massive choice of continental options either. We were also surprised to find the fire exit door (situated next to our hotel room) open when we returned from breakfast on the second day and it was still open when we returned from our outdoor walking adventure in the evening! When it got to 9pm I ended up closing the door. We felt this was pretty poor of the hotel in terms of safety standards. Also our tv had poor signal on the second night (no access to BBC 1 or 2). Overall we were reasonably satisfied with our stay. I think at half the price we would be very happy with the stay but as it really wasn't cheap we expected it to be much better.

"Wonderful old hotel"
Everything was excellent. Freshed cooked breakfast to order. Two small concerns. No elevator so be sure to request a first floor room if walking up stairs is a problem. Also the Nanny Brow does not have a restaaurant so all other meals must be taken elsewhere. However, there is so much to see and do in the lake district, we were always outside anyway.

"Nice place for Lake District visit "
Nice, quiet hotel, off the road in its own compound. But just a couple of minutes walk to the lake, ferry terminals and also the hub of Bowness, including pubs, restaurants, shops etc. Bit old but well maintained, with updated bathrooms. Cleverly laid out, with greenery out side every window and a lovely garden outside the dining room and lounge.

Seascale is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Seascale, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Seascale hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
