"Lovely new accommodation would very much recommend"
Really impressed with this guesthouse. Was perfect for what we needed with three adults. New, nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Well equipped with tea coffee sugar... dishwasher, microwave, oven and job. A short walk into town(only a mile to get to the far other side of town!) but a nice walk through all shops on the way. Two small bits of feedback.. the communal area was still unfinished but we didn't use it anyway. Also more clothes storage space would be good. Excellent apart from that!

"Great Time at the 101"
Hotel is in a great location and easy to walk to major sites in Reykjavik and our pick up stop for the excursions we went on was was right across the street. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they made great recommendations for where to visit and eat. Super helpful when I left my bag on the transfer bus! Our room was a good size with amazing view, very comfortable. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Borg by Keahotels

Posthusstraeti 11, Reykjavik - Map
"Beautiful, comfortable hotel in the center of town"
Hotel Borg was perfect for us: large room, totally clean and spotless, super comfortable bed, and spacious bathroom. Located overlooking a small green, with a convenient location in center of town -- walking distance from main sights, shopping, and the tour bus stops. I rely on the front desk staff for help with restaurant reservations, phone calls to confirm tours, city information, etc, and I found Hotel Borg's staff to be 100% professional, courteous, and truly helpful. Loved this place and will stay there again.

Apartment K

Thingholtsstraeti 2-4, Reykjavik - Map
"Quiet apartment in the heart of Reykjavik"
To be clear, when you book one of these apartments, you don't know what you're getting until you get there, as the address given was the reception desk, the apartments themselves are scattered around the area. First impressions of our apartment as we were led there by one of the staff was not great. There was a large amount of litter lying around outside, and it looked like there had been a riot as there were broken glass and bits of wood piled up near the steps that led from the street to the small courtyard type area where the apartment was located. Some of this was eventually cleared up during our 7 night stay, but not all. The inside was better, although not perfect. There wasn't a kettle in our apartment when we arrived, and we had to ask on more than one occasion to have one provided, and the TV didn't pick up any channels until I got tired of waiting for the staff to "come and take a look at it" and eventually fixed it myself. However, the bed was very comfortable with electric motors built in to allow you to recline it, so reading in bed was easy. The bathroom was modern looking, and there were more than enough towels provided during our stay. One real benefit of our apartment was that it was relatively quiet compared with another hotel we had stayed in close by, as although central, it was far enough back off the street to avoid the worst of the noise. In summary OK, but could easily be so much better with a bit more effort from staff, so would consider using again.

excellent location, kitchen is a great asset (eating out very expensive in Iceland!), bathroom is very well designed, and staff are super helpful.

"Terrific stay!"
We had a wonderful stay at Fosshotel Reykjavik. It's a 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants. The best part of our stay is the breakfast which was included. There are so many varieties to choose from. Even the dinner buffet was delicious! Everything is so expensive in Iceland so the dinner buffet at the hotel was actually worth it. One thing to note about the hotel is that it doesn't have a parking lot. However we were able to park on the street which is right in front of the hotel for about $13 a day.

Saurbaer is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Saurbaer, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Saurbaer hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
