"Reasonably priced hotel close to beach, downtown"
Location is ideal. Close to beach and downtown Ventura. Facilities are good. Nothing fancy but nothing unattractive or broken down. Free breakfast was decent and a nice amenity. Room was comfortable. Staff was ok. Their late checkout policy is tight however. Only 30 minutes past 12 checkout. Overall I’d definitely stay their again, especially for the price.

Beautiful old hotel. Dogs welcome for $10 each per night. Three floors but no elevator. You will have to drag your suitcases and your stuff up to your room. But the rooms are elegant and the ambience is wonderful. Live piano music on the weekends. Fabulous restaurant. Be sure to try the brussel sprouts. Bring a book and enjoy a big fireplace. If you have dogs they have a dining area set aside where you can eat with your dogs. Loved it here.

There was a lot of signs regarding safety and cameras. It made me feel unsafe. They also request an id of every one staying in the room which was off for me since I’ve never had that before. It was good for the price. Conveniently located by the freeway and the beach.

Check in was fast, the front desk attendant wasn't too social but I wasn't there to make friends either, lol. The room was clean, up kept, and there was abundant parking. Not bad for a expedia-rated 2.5 star hotel. I'd definitely stay there again if the occasion where to repeat.

Agriculture is the lifeblood of Santa Paula. The town's main street is a throwback to Middle America with a Mexican twist. A popular tourist attraction is the California Oil Museum downtown. Another attraction is the Santa Paula Mural Project, whose many murals depict the city's history.
