Belle chambre, petit déjeuner savoureux. Super séjour.

The hotel was nicely appointed and clean. When we checked in, the room's air conditioner was not working so they put us in another room that was an upgrade from our initial reservations but charged us the same price as our original reservation. The staff were very pleasant and helpful given we didn't speak much French. The hotel is conveniently located within the Bordeaux city center so walking to restaurants and public transportation was made easier.

Breakfast was a highlight here. Lots of delicious options. We had a room for 3, which was a little tight, but it had a spacious balcony. Easy 10 min walk to the marina, restaurants, or train.

When arriving our taxi driver dropped us off two blocks away as that was as close as he could get. We managed but with heavy cases it was difficult. I didn't choose the breakfast option as I personally feel 21 euro a person is too expensive. We went to different cafes and spent much less. I loved the location as we were able to walk everywhere. My only complaint was there was no mini fridge. That was my fault for not checking more carefully. As we travel with insulin it is very important for us to have a fridge. We had to ask for ice every day. Overall it was a good stay, quiet, comfortable bed and pillows and helpful staff.

Overall the hotel was clean and tidy and our room was spacious and pleasantly decorated. Our big disappointment was the meal in the restaurant which took the shine off our stay. For the evening meal my wife chose rabbit as her main course and it was very chewy as it had not been cooked slowly in a sauce. I chose trout with a mixture of vegetables. Sadly the trout was totally tasteless.

We were very impressed with the location for La Grand Pavois boat show, 15 min walk, and also to La Rochelle centre, 15/20 min walk. The rooms were very comfortable, and so quiet. Breakfast, which was included, had a good range of pastries, breads, pancakes, cakes, cheeses, cereals, fruit and hot drinks.
