"Great for Relaxation"
Great view, beautiful grounds and infinity pool. Not so bad the beach. Can improve service. Facilities with poor maintenace (bar, restaurant). Furniture in bad shape... A town GEM, but need TLC. Excelent for brekfast, but pricey not so good for dinner (need more natural ingredients). Main entrance urgenly needs clear illumination (too dark). NO handicaped access. Bring flip-flop if dont want to damage your HHLS or Shoes.

"Amazing vibes close to "downtown""
We loved every minute of our experience in PR. We were there for 5 days to celebrate my 30th, and it felt like we were there for weeks. Not only does PR, and namely Vieques, have some of the world's most stunning natural wonders, but every person seems to be in love with their lives -- truly humbling. Hotel staff at Esperanza Inn was incredible and welcoming. They take care of foster animals, which was an added bonus because they were all well-behaved and completely adorable. We almost left with a dog, had he not already been adopted. Everything was clean and bigger than expected. We were only there for one night, but certainly would have taken more advantage of their amenities had we been there longer. If you want to scope the bio bay (we recommend JAK Water Sports -- they were the most knowledgeable, passionate and you whip around in glass-bottom kayaks), Esperanza Inn is the perfect place to stay as it's only a 2 block walk from the pick up spot (plus Lazy Jacks is THE late night hang out spot if you're trying to meet a bunch of wonderful strangers). When we go back to Vieques, we'll definitely be staying here.

Hacienda Tamarindo

"This hotel was built to look pretty!"
I must admit, I didn't really look into Hacienda Tamarindo when I booked as this was a last minute trip. So when I arrived for check in, I was blown away by how pretty it was. This hotel is truly unique. From the honor bar in the beautiful library to the high vaulted ceilings in our 1 bedroom suite, everything was just so pretty. We were mesmerized. After an amazing time at the beach and a great dinner, my husband and I returned to the hotel to enjoy the two bottles of wine we brought while stargazing by the pool. This hotel sits on top of a hill and as such, we had sweeping views of the ocean and clear views of the sky. The stars were very bright that night. What a treat! Both of us are not morning people but we woke up at 6:30am to watch the sunrise which was awesome! Breakfast was served from 8am to 10am and the food was delicious. They fed us fresh juices, good coffee, great eggs, oatmeal and fruit. My husband and I are very picky when it comes to breakfast. I can honestly say that we have never stayed at a hotel that served us good breakfast, even the 4/5 star ones. The breakfast here at Hacienda Tamarindo certainly got our thumbs up! I can't think of anything that this hotel lacked. It had great service (the manager Mayra goes above and beyond!), clean property, pretty and spacious room, amazing views, great breakfast and coffee, not to mention well stocked honor bar. This place is especially great for couples as this is such a romantic hotel to stay at.

"Nice small, remote B&B"
This place is well suited for those who like peace and quiet. Except for the occasional dog barking next door, it's an isolated spot on the island that is peaceful and quiet. You are well off the road and away from town. The owner goes out of her way to be helfpul and make your stay pleasant.

Friend and I short notice booked this guesthouse and we are so happy we did! The room was good sized and clean. There is a rooftop you can go up to to look over the island - view is amazing. If we ever go back to Vieques would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed my stay, nice staff, cute place, really clean. It's a little far from the beach and restaurant area. I recommend renting a car to get around the island.

"Found a gem on Vieques "
We spent 6 days in Esperanza on Vieques Island the week before Christmas and were thrilled to find this gem of accommodation on such a small island. The cleanliness, decor, and friendly, knowledgeable management (especially Dafney "Chicago") far exceeded our expectations. (Room #10 with its balcony gave us the opportunity to enjoy the gardens, sunsets and tree frog songs ). This boutique hotel provided an excellent Continental breakfast to start each day along with all the towels, chairs, coolers , ice and beach chairs you need for a day of exploring. We definitely recommend the Malecón to everyone looking to enjoy the Island's fabulous secluded beaches on Vieques. And, if you go there, don't forget to close the Malecón gate to keep the wild horses out of the garden!

"Great value, nice location"
Very friendly manager. Nice swimming pool that we often had to ourselves. There is a non-touristy convenience store around the corner. The Malecon is a couple minutes away on foot, with several cool restaurants. We booked a tour of the Bio-luminescent Bay at Abe's, and they will pick you up at their storefront the night of your tour. The window AC unit struggled to keep up, even while sustained at its highest setting, but the two ceiling fans helped to mitigate. No TV in room. Wifi did not work in the room - we had to move outdoors into a 'public area' nearer the building office to catch the signal. Lots of interesting animals abound. There are small lizards all over (outside), maybe 4" long. Feral horses once you get away from the busy streets. A giant iguana scrambled into the pool once. There are roosters, as mentioned in other reviews. They're definitely noisy but it's not that disruptive with the windows shut and AC on. Overall a cool place to stay.

Puerto Real is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Puerto Real, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Puerto Real hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
