"Beautiful complex with stunning views of the ocean"
We were given a room with a sea view . Some rooms look on to the road, tennis courts and reception area. The whole complex is wonderful with plenty of sunbeds next to the lovely pool and bar area. We used their restaurant a couple of times and were not disappointed. The prices are reasonable and the bar has happy hours 4pm to 6pm and 10.30pm to 11.30 pm, which are very useful. The appartments have a fitted kitchen with washing machine but no dishwasher - which wasn't a problem. They also provide a hairdryer, iron and ironing board and lovely beach towels for each guest - wish I knew this before I took mine! We booked with Expedia and were offered free air con ( which wasn't needed) . Also they only charge a euro a day for a safe !

The rooms overall were adequate for our week in resort. The only downside was the poor shower. The rail was loose on the wall, which could have easily been rectified with new, sturdier wall brackets. The advert stated shower with bath, but there was no bath. The shower tray was small and you had to ensure the shower curtain stayed inside the tray otherwise the floor flooded and was dangerously slippy. The kitchen did not have a kettle, but boiling a pan of water for a cuppa was no real hardship. Overall an enjoyable stay.

First room was very noisy overnight with ? flushing toilets every minute overnight and every 15 seconds from 6am. Staff helpful and changed our room quickly. Lots of choices for food. Only disappointed in vegetarian choice one evening. Would come back again

We enjoyed our stay at the Costa Los G... but were very surprised by the amount of things that were not included and the amount of cash we needed on hand (maybe this is a European thing at all inclusives, but not something we are accustom to in Mexico and the Caribbean). We were also a little disappointed that we had to chase the staff for room amenities such as soap and bottled water - small things but they kind of added up. All this said, it was a nice resort for the family (kids 7,5&4) and we had a good time. The pool was great the food as good and the beach was a short 5 minute walk. It was like a cruise ship on land!

Pocket Guide: Santiago del Teide Puerto de Santiago Hotels
The towns of Los Gigantes, Puerto Santiago, and Playa de la Arena are on the west coast of the island of Tenerife, just south of the famous Los Gigantes cliffs. The three are adjacent to one another, with Puerto Santiago in the middle. Of the towns, Puerto de Santiago has more local Canarian residents and traditional Canarian restaurants. Playa de la Arena boasts a gently sloping, black-sand beach.
