"Great boutique hotel in Portofino "
Wonderful hotel in the heart of Portofino with friendly and very helpful staff. Good room facilities and a wonderful breakfast. The garden is quite small but has enough room for the number of rooms. The spa and sauna area is not particularly well laid out as you can't use the sauna and steam room if there are clients having a treatment - this however is a minor criticism for such a beautiful boutique hotel.

"Fantastic hotel and great location"
We had an easy check in and parking was easy. The location is superb with lots of cafes and shops nearby and across the street from the beach..there is an underground tunnel to get to the beach so you don't have to cross the road. Our room was a nice size with a large bathroom. It is an old building but very well maintained. Our room was quiet and well appointed with a side view of the sea which was nice. Breakfast was ok, one of the days the entire 20 minutes we were there the scrambled eggs and bacon trays were completely empty and many people complained but nothing changed but what can you expect for 5 euros? We didn't eat at the restaurant for any other meals but did have room service one night which was very good. Do yourself a favour and take a trip into Portofino which is about a 15 min drive away, fabulous shops and a quaint little village, definitely worth the drive! We went to the beach which was nice with nice sun chairs (for a charge). It is a rocky beach (not sand) and not a wade out (had to enter from a dock) but that was ok, still very pleasant. We didn't use the pool so cant comment. Beds are very hard which we noticed was a common trait in Italy and so were the pillows. All in all a very nice stay and a great little village.

"Italian Holiday"
Eight Hotel was the most relaxing part of our holiday. We had been traveling almost 3 weeks, with our two teenagers, through Italy and staying here was THE best part of the holiday. The staff was impeccable. The check-in was effortless. We were greeted with a glass of Prosseco and they upgraded my and my husband's room. It is close to Portofino and Santa Margherita. They are located on the water with their own private beach area. Lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels complimentary for hotel guests. It is a small, luxury hotel with only 12 rooms total. Quiet and in the perfect location.

"Stunning views and great service"
This lovely hotel is set up in the hillside overlooking Portifino harbour. Numerous sitting rooms, locations for eating, and great spa facilities, but for us having breakfast on the terrace of your own room, looking down over the gulf was the best part. If you prefer the buzz of activity and nightlife, they also operate the Splendido Mare hotel on the centre of the Portofino village. For us, the views from the main hotel were the place to be though, as they run a shuttle bus down into the village every 20 minutes whenever we wanted the nightlife. It's well worth a walk around the area though.

"Access ONLY by boat..."
There is little doubt that the location is 5 star, and the hotel itself is really nice. However, at no time throughout the booking and confirmation process did we realise, nor were we informed, that the hotel is only accessible by boat (or a 40 minute hike - not on paved roads). After some level of stress finding the ferry station (which was also not easily found), and also a car park in the tiny portside town of Comagli, we really enjoyed the boat ride over, and then relaxed. Don't bring any extra luggage than you REALLY need for your stay. You will need to carry it both to the ferry stop, and also to the hotel from the ferry stop - up stairs. Not a huge drama, but we are travelling for 3 months, and have a medium suitcase each, which was difficult. Importantly, the hotel is most certainly worth it, just be aware of the constraints.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Portofino Regional Park hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
