"YUCATAN TRIP"
We stayed at Hotel Chichen Itza and was very pleased with our stay, it was close to the Ruins and the downtown etc. I would recommend getting a coconut from the vendor at the midway point from the hotel and the ruins, very nice people and cold!!!! We ate not once but twice at LA ESPARANZA chicken!!!!!! IT was delicious, I'm still talking about it!!! Close by is Mayaland where we did the horseback riding and shopped. Rooms was clean and well kept, not much to complain about and the pool was a very nice addition to the nice weather!!!! Enjoyed our stay.

"Beautiful Retreat With Private Entrance to Ruins"
This hotel was amazing! They arranged for a private guide to come pick us up at the hotel and visit the ruins (only 750 pesos for a personal guide). The facilities were definitely 4 star quality. I spent a lot of time at the pool and at the bar where the service was impeccable. The quality of the drinks was top notch. We only stayed here two nights, but easily could have stayed another day. The Planetarium at the hotel wasn't worth the money if you get a good guide to visit the ruins, they cover a lot of the same information.

"Comfortable, quiet hotel close to ruin"
The hotel was fancier, cleaner, quieter than I expected. The 2-meal option (dinner and breakfast for me) was delicious and well worth the extra fee. The pool was slightly heated but clean, refreshing, and large enough for lap swimming. The hotel clerk let me play pool in the library. I liked that the hotel has no TV or radio. 10 minute walk to the side entrance to Chichen-itza. Tour guides are available there. I departed from the main entrance to catch my bus back to Cancun. I highly recommend only 1st class (express) buses, which saves 50% time between Cancun and Chichen-itza. Even 2nd class buses have A/C. WEAR sun block, a wide hat, and try to enter the ruins early morning to avoid crowds that start arriving at 10:45! The only formal restaurant at the site (main entrance) has delicious, reasonably priced food. There are also snack places with fast food. There are public restrooms throughout the ruins with no fee.

"Very nice hotel near to Chichen Itza. "
We had a wonderful 2 nights stay in Thompson suite. The resort is amidst beautiful lush greenery where you would be transported back in time. The rooms exude character and the decor is beautiful. The staff were very helpful. They arranged tickets to Chichen Itza monuments and advised us to start early and beat the crowd - very. Useful. They have a private entrance to the monuments and we had a very nice experience in the monuments. The food in their restaurant was really good. Only downside was unavailability of wifi in the rooms. I would strongly recommend this resort.

"Very charming. "
This hotel is close to the ruins. It's charming. They gave us free tickets to the evening light show. The room was very clean. Sheets a little thin but still just fine. I'd definitely stay again.

"Lovelly hotel nestled in the forest"
This place is really beautiful. The rooms are well decorated with a nice trendy bathroom. Each room has a balcony. It was low seasons so there were just a few rooms occupied I think. The hotel buildings are set amidst thick exotic forest and there's a little lake with some birdlife. The pool is really nice with a cascade and overflow. The welcome was really nice and the boss showed us around including the view of a small chitzen itza in the distance. I think this was the best hotel I found in the Yukatan. The food was OK in the restaurant but not exceptional but it must be difficult to manage during low season with few guests (try putting n your food order early as the manager tried to encourage us to do). He made a wicked magarite - the best I had also during all our trip.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Piste, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Piste hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
