Nothing wrong with the apartment/building but it was too hot- even when the outside was cool. 20/21 degrees outside and the room temperature was 29 degrees, even with window open/cool breeze and 2 fans on. Other guests had same experience as well. Shame as everything else was great

A fabulous hotel in a great location. Quirky. Friendly staff. A/C was challenged but it was unusually hot for our stay. Breakfast was fabulous. A little confusion as to whether we had breakfast included when we checked in. By morning there was a list available at reception. Instructions for parking and entrance seemed confusing but actually pretty accurate.

The kitchen was closed on my stay so very limited food for dinner & no breakfast which was a shame as the hotel staff & room & place was brilliant.

The hotel is promoted to be grand and up market and the reality is that it’s so run down and in serious need of renovation. Every room has its own unique bad smell; corridors - musky, lift - BO, restaurant - indescribable but stale would resemble it. The whole place is dark and dingy, sparse and difficult to see how it’s sustainable. I appreciate the history of the building but I’ve never experienced anything like this… it was like a rabbit warren of run down office doors and endless empty unused spaces and corridors. Some areas were being renovated but left uncovered and an eyesore. Really disappointing as I booked it for a special birthday surprise… a surprise is what we got and it wasn’t welcomed.

Great stay, friendly staff

We didn’t like the fact that there was no one on site to talk to. We didn’t get fresh towels even though we stayed for 6 nights. The TV in the bedroom was broken and some of the cutlery was dirty. At the end of the stay we had to take all our rubbish to bins at the end of the street. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
