"Fabulous Boutique Hotel, extraordinary ocean views"
From the time of arrival to the time of departure the entire staff could not have been more pleasant, gracious and accommodating. The decor, the building itself, the grounds, and the setting are absolutely gorgeous and first class. All were magically transformed by the beautiful holiday decorations. The occasion was a special birthday for my wife, and the staff truly made her stay memorable. Working in room fireplace, robes and slippers, heated marble bathroom floors, turn down service.

"Lovely hotel on the waterfront in Newport"
Beautiful hotel, with wonderful staff. Lovely location on the water with outside dining. Unfortunately, it was to chilly in Oct during our stay for that. The staff was very accommodating and even showed us to our room and explained everything. There are several seating areas downstairs to sit by the fire and read or enjoy a glass of wine. Also a bar and restaurant that overlook the water. It is located right in downtown Newport with easy access to many restaurants and shops.

"Quick holiday getaway & meetup with family."
The Mill Street Inn is conveniently located in the heart of Newport. The staff do a great job making you feel welcome and your stay a pleasant experience. The Inn itself has a beautiful decor with nice updates to the rooms including modern appointments to the bathrooms. On the negative side the appointments in our sitting area were showing wear and signs of repeated use. The sofa was worn and the entire frame sagged. There was a single chair that at one time had a modern look was now stained, worn and not very comfortable. We had family visit us prior to heading out for dinner and the chair and sofa were simply inadequate even for a short visit. The hotel staff were accomodating and brought over two chairs but made it known that the chairs were from the breakfast area and needed to be returned prior to breakfast the following morning. Our suite was a king deluxe with a pullout accomodating a third person which was our teenage son. The bathroom was off the sitting area where he slept. We didn't expect two restrooms, but the overall room/bathroom layout was such that we had to carefully maneuver obstacles in the dark to make it to the restroom off the sitting area without waking him up and stubbing our toes on the furnture that was moved to accomodate his stay in tight quarters. Overall our stay was a pleasant experience and we would stay again. We do look forward to updates to the furniture in the suites for our next stay. Happy New Year to readers of our review.

Bouchard Inn & Restaurant - Newport Hotels

Bouchard Inn & Restaurant

"A pleasing change from the usual"
Bouchard is really a top class restaurant, which I am afraid we didn't sample, with rooms attached. We were in an outbuilding and after check in we never set eyes on any staff or any other guests for the rest of the stay. We were there for 3 nights. The room was nicely decorated with a huge, very comfortable bed and we were perfectly happy with our own front door. The bathroom would have been more convenient with a bit more shelving for our bits and bobs - a common fault with hotels - but on the whole we felt we had made a good choice. The in room coffee was the best we had in our 5 weeks of travelling around and every morning, the elves tip toed up to our front door and hung some delicious still warm pastries and two jars of exquisite yoghurt on a hook on our front door. What is not to like about that?

Newport is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Newport, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Newport hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
