Great job

Pretty nice room, designed with a 1970s elementary school room theme that I remember all too well. Well equipped. Quiet. Bar downstairs seems promising, though I caroused elsewhere. Street parking was pleasantly easy and neighborhood seems safe enough for it. Two issues: - Shower didn't drain, and was only deep enough to hold the water from one shower. Luckily there was only one of me to use it. - AC wasn't able to keep up with the thermostat until after I'd woken up on the morning. I reported those issues to a staff member who I caught in the hall, who was nice and apologetic. Also, not a fan of the automated check-in. I have to make myself presentable late at night just to book a dang room?

The bathroom ceiling paint was cracked and peeling. The refrigerator worked very well and clean. Only one elevator was in service during my stay. I feel the Expedia reservation needs to do a better effort in clarifying which Hawthorn Extended Stay hotel is being reserved. There is an older property in Saint Clairsville, Ohio and a newer property in Triadelphia, WV. Saint Clairsville Ohio is 18 miles from the newer West Virginia hotel. Please be clear on future reservations. This location error seems to happen often

Hotel was clean and comfortable and easy to access from the highway without much traffic noise. Pool and hot tub weren't working but everything else was great. Especially considering the price to stay. I'll definitely stay again when I'm in that area in the future.
