We stayed here during Winter Storm Jonas, and the staff could not have been nicer while dealing with a rough weather situation while they were short staffed. The shuttle driver was awesome and easily navigated the roads to get us to and from Foxwoods safely. We had a Jacuzzi room, which was lovely, until about 10:30 that evening, when a noise that sounded like a combination of a jackhammer and a drill started over our heads. Staff let us know that it was the Jacuzzi in the room above us, that there was nothing they could do about it, and that the tubs were on ten-minute timers, so hopefully it'd be done soon. Well, the people upstairs restarted that timer - which I get, we'd done it earlier in the day! - FIVE times, so the incredibly loud noise went on for almost an hour. I feel like the "nothing we can do" bit, in that case, is a little weak - invest in better soundproofing, maybe? But other than that, our stay was really nice.

"Great value in a comfortable hotel"
We booked this hotel sight-unseen through Expedia and we're glad we did. We wanted to spend a night in the Mystic Seaport area to go to the Seaport and Mohegan Sun Casino. It's a short drive to either attraction and the hotel is conveniently located. From the outside, the hotel appears a bit dated and the inside shows signs that it is an older hotel. The walls appear freshly painted, however, and the room furnishings are comfortable and more modern. We had booked a single room with a queen-sized bed but upon check-in we were upgraded at no cost to a suite with a king bed, two TVs, a microwave, fridge and more. The lady behind the desk was kind enough to do this without even a request by us, saying that the hotel was not very crowded [it was the off-season] and that this room wasn't likely to sell anyway, so why not take the opportunity to do something nice? Nice, indeed! Included with the room was a complimentary *full* breakfast for two with selections from an extensive regular breakfast menu. Another plus, and the breakfast was delicious, our waitress couldn't have been nicer. We will certainly return when we visit the area again as our stay was most pleasant.

"Mismanaged reservation check in."
Hotel front desk could not verify my reservation during check in. She had to call the front end manager who determined that after reviewing my printed confirmation from Expedia that my last name was listed as Jr instead of my actual last name on my confirmation. It was upsetting to have to argue with the clerk that I really did have a reservation and they had made a mistake. I don't know if was Expedia's mistake or the Best Western's mistake. Whatever reason it was a very frustrating few minutes to get this resolved.

Mystic is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mystic, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mystic hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
