This is a quaint cottage stay nestled in the pines close to Asilomar. Residential area. Our room was very nicely appointed and had high ceilings, ceiling fans, a large bathroom and gas fireplace. It was clean and comfy. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. I gave 3 stars for maintenance only for the front door sticking and was hard to close and the crank windows not closing. There are a lot of deer in the area so be mindful of that when walking the grounds with a dog (deer droppings, pine needles, stickers or reactive dog). The parking is on site and just tight due to trees and roots, also some sharp turns, so might be hard with a big truck or van. Just FYI. There are many spots by the office though. Pet friendly and that was great since it was reasonably priced for the area. I would recommend you check it out👌 see if you like it 😃

My best hotel stay ever. Every detail was thought of and executed!

I wouldn't (and don't) stay anywhere else during my frequent trips to Seaside. The property is always clean, the staff always helpful, the parking always plentiful (I always have a car), and the prices excellent. Discovery Inn is very convenient to my Seaside destination, but also convenient to Seaside's eateries, grocery stores, FedEx, and Chase. Also - I am usually traveling solo and feel safe here.

Loved it! Wish we had stayed longer here. The view is incredible, the rooms delightful, and the food delicious.

Incredible place to stay! The staff is friendly and helpful! The location is incredible. The lack of A\C was rough due to a heatwave but they gave us extra fans.

Adorable Inn downtown Carmel, close to everything. Small room but excepted with historic property- I was worried about all the dogs but our room was appointed well and very clean. Cozy lobby. Will definitely return.
